A midweight, midpriced alternative to Calphalon's Professional and Commercial Nonstick cookware, the Simply Calphalon line is made of hard-anodized aluminum for scratch-resistance and quick, uniform heating. It's harder than steel and won't chip, crack, or peel. Inside, the pots and pans are coated with nonstick material for low-fat (or nonfat) cooking and easy food release. Handles are made of satin-finish stainless steel and stay cool on the stovetop. Lids are made of brushed stainless steel. Oven-safe to 375 degrees F, the cookware is safe with nylon, wood, and plastic utensils and should be hand washed to preserve the nonstick. --Fred Brack

I have several pieces of Simply Capahalon. I also have several pieces of Professional Capalon. I agree that it is not the real stuff but I am not made of money and I am not a professional cook. I use the cookware for everyday cooking and baking. I find the quality is very good for my uses. I have never had anything stick or burn in the cookware. It has been dropped but it did not been dented. If you, like me, want good cookware at a reasonable price, this is the set for you. Plus its gauranteed.

If you want real Calphalon, by all means buy real Calphalon. This set is for folks who want to buy the name at a discount. These pans are not the same ultra-high-quality professional weight pans that Calphalon is famous for.

Calphalon makes great products, but this set is truly a bargain, particularly for couples who don't cook for a bunch of people at once. The pots and pans are very heavy duty and stay balanced on the burners. The nonstick surface is very easy to clean and maintain. Calphalon is always worth the investment, and this is a great starter set.
