The Simply Calphalon Stainless line of cookware is an excellent alternative for those who prefer cooking in stainless steel and who desire Calphalon quality at a more budget price. This 10-piece set has all the basics to get your home kitchen up and running. The cookware includes 1-quart and 2-quart covered saucepans; a 3-quart covered sauté pan; a 6-quart covered stockpot; and 8-inch and 10-inch omelet pans.

Made of attractive 18/10 brushed stainless steel, these pans have an aluminum core through their bottoms for even heat distribution. The stainless-steel loop handles are comfortable to grip, plus they minimize heat transfer so handles stay cool on the stovetop. Handles are held in place by sturdy stainless-steel rivets. The covers are made of tempered glass so you can monitor your food while it cooks and have a dome shape, which allows food to retain its moisture while cooking. The cookware and lids are oven-safe up to 450 degrees F so you don’t have to dirty several pans to make one dish. Just bought this set about a month ago. Have enjoyed using it so much, that I'm cooking everyday. This is an achievement. Usually my favorite method of cooking is drive-thru.

First, the saute pans are non-stick, and therefore should not be put in the dishwasher. Fortunately, if you can operate a paper towel then 90% of your clean up is done. Again, nothing sticks so clean up is not a hardship (melted cheese just wipes off). The stainless pots have also offered no problem in the clean up area and can be put in the dishwasher, but can be cleaned by hand in the time it takes to load and unload the dishwasher.

Finally, food cooks evenly and it looks good doing it. Yeah, it's only a 10 year warranty, but it cost what, $200? Have yau seen what they charge for those high end sets? I mean seriously, who is paying $700 for pots and pans?

For almost two years I've had this set, along with a few others in the same product line that I've also purchased. I use at least a few of these daily. They have great weight and balance, good heat distribution, are easy to clean (especially the nonstick pans), and are very reasonably priced.

Before purchasing, I considered the tri-ply pans, however the handles were terrible, especially when trying to hold the additional weight of the pans themselves. Plus they are more expensive - not worth the price for the tri-ply.

I'd definitely recommend this set of Simply Calphalon pans to anyone - great product and good price.

this set has been a pleasant surprise. the pans are nice and hefty, like a much higher-priced product. i was a little nervous about the quality because i have seen the calphalon at target and it doesnt compare. this is a great set for those will the all-clad taste but the farberware budget.
