Please be aware that the product I received was not consistant with the product description or as described in previous feedback left by others. The product I have just received is not the 99 percent pure "old skool" product we grew up using. This item is the new formula that is lightly scented. Furthermore, it is the same product that's currently sold in a store near your home. I have left an emil for the seller, however with the cost of return shipping I'll not recover all my costs. As a result their expected response will be of little value to me. I most likely will be required to live with the false and misleading advertising. Mike

Well, it's pretty much what it states. Lots of soap. It's not the best soap in the world, as Ivory tends to be a bit rough on the skin, but past that it's exactly what you'd think: a lot of soap.

Yes, this is the same soap that you grew up with. As far as I know they have not changed the formula in all of the years that they have made this product. It is plain, basic, unscented, and does the job that it is intended to do. It's also a great price. Ya can't go wrong. It is great for hand washing and delicates-lingerie as well. We always have a bar at our bathroom sink.

It's my own fault that I ended up with a two year supply of stinky soap that I could get at any local store. I read other reviews that claimed the soap they got was the original unscented Ivory. Maybe those folks did get the real thing, but that't not what I got. Why on earth did P&G ever do this to their old standard? I'm stuck with this garbage now, but when it's gone, I'll not buy another bar of Ivory until they once again offer unscented.

I've always loved Ivory. It smells clean, doesn't leave a film on my skin and a good price to boot! Buying 36 bars may seem like a lot, but for our family of four we probably go through at least 2 bars a week so it's a great deal.

Before Amazon I was buying Ivory at my local warehouse store. Amazon actually sells it for a bit less and the added plus of getting it delivered to my door at no charge saves me not only money, but time too.

It's getting harder and harder to find pure unscented soap at the store, and this is a good value for the amount of soap you get in the package. I won't need to buy soap for a year! Just be sure you have a place to store it all.

Some time in the last couple of months they've changed the Ivory formula. It used to be unscented, or nearly so, and now it is scented almost as strongly as most other soaps. I've thrown out all the package bars I recently purchased. Oh well, now I'll have to switch to a higher priced "natural" like Tom's or Kiss My Face.

With Amazon's promotion on Ivory products this month, you can get 108 bars of soap for just $30, including shipping. And bear in mind, these are the larger 4.5 oz ones, not the skimpy 3.1 oz smaller versions that come in triple packs at some drug stores.

108 bars you say? Yes, I go through soap faster than inmates at a prison. So this is a great deal, plus Amazon ships it to you. No need to waste gas and drive to the local drug store!

I've used Ivory since I was a little kid, and there is none better. It cuts grease like no other, and has always been a gentle skin sensitive soap as well. If you want a little fragrance in your soap, you can try the new Lavender/Aloe "flavored" soaps from Ivory, also included in this deal. I use Ivory for clothes washing, dish scrubbing, and all manners of cleaning. It's a classic formulation, and it gets the job done.

You are not saving much buying 36 bars. Ivory soap is inexpensive: always has been. If you've never tried it, buy a small pack locally and see if you like it before buying 3, 12 packs. It won't cost you more than about 50 cent per bar anyway.

Also, Ivory always had a "soapy" scent. They just don't add in scent. It smells like soap, so don't be disappointed if it doesn't smell like "nothing". It's a good product, just not an outstanding value here.

Up until recently you could get this package of 12 - 4.5oz Bath size Ivory Soap Bars for $2.97 (plus 5% tax) at Walmart. Now, I think they raised the price up to $3.76 (plus 5% tax).

$3.76 * 3 = $11.28 (plus 5% tax) = $11.84

$11.84 < $14.99 (regular order) or $12.74 (automatic reorders)

UPDATED: This is ridiculous!!! The price of the product went down to $9.99 for 3 12-packs, but the shipping cost, $13.63, is more than the product!!!! Change it to free shipping then I would buy it!
