The quote right before the contents page: To reveal the increasing essentialness of material with a compilation of brilliant ideas, and craftsmanship.

The book is a collection of products with an emphasis on the materials used. The work for various designers are categorized into geometric, organic, decorative and illusive. The designs showcased are very unique and look like they belong to the Museum of Modern Art.

The variety is great and there are a lot of weird yet interesting concepts.
