This camera has the same internals as the bullet-style version, available here: Simply Monitored BL 3200 Megapixel Outdoor . I have both, and personally prefer the bullet-style, but your application may vary.

This IP cam works with Blue Iris as model Derytech RTSP. When configuring the image format in Blue Iris, manually type in the highest resolution of 2048 x 1536 in order to use that mode, since it won't appear in the drop down as an option. You may also need to set the frame-rate to 15 fps in order for the resolution to stay selected in Blue Iris - but be sure to first set that same resolution from the camera's web-configuration panel.

Video quality is excellent! At a price point only a bit higher than most 720p cameras, this one is a winner - since you can always run it in a lower resolution if you want to save on computing resources.

It comes set with static IP of, so you'll need to connect to it at that address initially. I simply plugged it in directly to my laptop's ethernet (though a POE injector) and set the laptop to a static IP of, netmask, and gateway, and was able to reach the camera in a browser to turn on DHCP. Default user pass is admin / 12345.

I haven't used the built in features, but it does have built in motion detection, logging, alerting, QOS, FTP, Email, save to NAS, etc.

It allows manual pan/tilt, but you have to unscrew the dome and manually adjust the angles - no motorized pan tilt.
