5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Flavor
This garlic powder is more potent than the cheap, non-organic varieties, so you don't have to use much to infuse great flavor into your cooking. We love it!

1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING: my bottle came from China

Sorry, I don't trust any food item made in China. China is a country that has poisoned and killed their own children with purposely tainted food. My bottle of this product was purchased at Safeway and is stamped "Made in China" so I have discontinued using this brand. I felt lied to as my bottle was not USDA organic but had some obscure international rating. Sorry, I don't trust the Chinese to raise truly organic plants or run a clean, organic processing and packaging operation. Further, the best organic garlic comes from California so why import such an easily obtainable item?

Amazon's sales blurb above says this is a USDA organic product -- I assume they are correct. Let's hope so. However, it's the manufacturer who supplies the sales info, not Amazon, so this product might come from China afterall.

I want USA organic food that is grown, processed, and packaged under USDA supervision. You should, too.

2.0 out of 5 stars "Organic" garlic from China?, December 30, 2011

Skip eating questionable food from China and demand USA grown food. You can get garlic grown in the USA at your farmer's market. You can also get it from farmers online and distributors such as: spicesinc.com. Or you can search under "garlic not grown in China" like I did. It does exist.

Please join me in encouraging Amazon to get an organic source of garlic that is from the USA; they currently have none. Let's help our own economy and not buy food from communist China.

UPDATE 1/14/12: spicesinc.com carries USA garlic whenever possible, but they can't always find it. When I wrote the review, they had it in stock. I spoke with Greg, the CEO, today and he is searching for more USA sources. Just call to verify when you place your order.

Another way to search the internet is to list a state such as: "California organic garlic powder".

I love this brand-the herbs are flavorful and the price can't be beat on these compared with Whole Foods Market's prices. I use this and the minced onion regularly and love the 3 pack option with sub & save!

This is my secret ingredient! It doesn't taste fake like other brands of garlic powders.
A little goes a long way and adds great garlic flavor to anything.

I've been eating rice almost every day for a few months, and this has lasted a long time. One of the yummy meals I've liked is brown rice with garlic powder topped with melted shredded cheese. Kinda like a poor mans garlic bread.
