Your average guy probably would find this book pretty useful -- bring home flowers, chocolate on the pillow, etc. I was hoping for ideas that were simple but not "duh" quality.

Much better books on the subject are 1) The RoMANtic's Guide by Michael Webb 2) Creative Romance by Doug Fields

I love this book!! It is small, fits in the bedside table and you can modify each suggestion in many different ways! THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX is what romance is all about!!! In a day where we are frantically scurrying about and always tired, it is refreshing to take time out to do fun things with and for your spouse!

This is a 5-minute read (10 if you're slow) and a VERY basic introduction to the world of creative romance. Divided into sections on sparking intimate conversations, gestures, and gifts. Most of the gestures/gifts are fairly low-budget, which should help new couples and those on a limited income. This book presumes marriage, so *some* ideas may be useless for those who aren't living together. Quite a few of the intimate conversations involved kids, which limits their application. Found a few new ideas here, but overall wasn't dazzled. For someone conservative and christian, looking for guidance on the first few baby steps into creative romance, this will prove helpful. Anyone looking for guidance to become a spectacularly creative romantic would be better off buying Godek's 10k Ways to Say `I Love you' or Decker's Romantic Antics, my top two picks. Even Fields' Creative Romance had more substance. I will be making a few notes from this volume in Godek's book and giving this one away.
