Just like the title says, the recipes in this book are simple, yet creative. I'm not a gourmet cook, but these wonderful recipes can make others think I am. I have a nice collection of League cookbooks and this may be the most beautiful, visually, and is certainly one of the best for variety of recipes. I've had success with a couple of desserts already and have made selections to serve on Christmas Day. Highly recommended and a great gift idea too.

I love to entertain. My number one rule when entertaining: never try out a new recipe on guests. But, I've found with this cookbook, I am always able to have a winning dish right out of the gate. I have no qualms trying new recipes here. I've used the recipes to host a baby shower, two holiday dinners, several potlucks and numerous family gatherings. I am the type to research recipes on the internet until I find a recipe that sounds perfect and has garnered 4+ stars in reviews. I never have to research these recipes...I go with them and always have success. This book also offers many unique recipes (not your standard fare for a local cookbook) that are really great. This is a beautiful book to give or keep & display and one that is actually useful!
