This is a wonderful book with great fast, easy tips for making some unique quilts. Can make whole quilts out of the designs, or borders for your own quilts. I recommend it to beginners and experienced quilters

I had never quilted before. I didn't even know how to sew. These patterns are eay to follow and quick to make. I hated the idea of cutting out little pieces and sewing them together. With these patterns and short cuts, you don't have to do any of that. Now I love quilting. If you don't have the time to quilt, this is the book for you. You can make a quilt in a couple weekends. They're great weekend projects

I saw this on Simply Quilts and was so intrigued I actually wrote to the author asking if she gave lessons. Then I got the book and found you don't need a teacher. The instructions and illustrations are absolutely so clear that a child could make this quilt. Several reviewers mentioned using these designs on borders -- thanks, I had not thought about that -- good tip. One last thing, I have a sister who refused to learn to quilt. Guess what, she is making a "Simply Seminole" quilt. Gotta love that.

This book is fantastic!. The instructions are easy to follow since it is so visual. It is also a great source of inspiration for designing beautiful blocks and borders to use in quilts, fashion garments and creating elegant and unique home decor.

I'm trying to replace books after a fire--this was one of the ones to get. There may be better books on Seminole piecing, but.... I've tried a couple of times, but I can't use colors like that.

A good friend introduced me to this type of quilt construction and had loaned me her copy of this book. The instruction are very good and clear. This method is very addicting [most quilt makers will understand] I just had to have my own copy. The number of different patterns is very good.

I saw the author of this book on Alex Anderson's pay TV show SIMPLY QUILTS. I much prefer geometric design rather than swirls and florals, so thought this book would be great. For creative quilters who have a good sense of color, this would be a fantastic book, but I found organizing the colors in my quilt far from easy.
No specific requirements of fabrics are listed - that's hard. All quilts are approximately 47 inches wide which is a bit skimpy for a single bed, so I didn't find it easy to work out how much extra to cut for my preferred 52 inches wide. I do like the way she showed in which direction to iron the seams (though I didn't always agree with it!) I love the look of these quilts, but, because of all the reasonably small pieces, they require a lot of fabric. The instructions were clear and well illustrated. Color plates excellent.

As a kid Pocohantas was my heroine & I wanted to grow up to be an 'indian princess'. Now there is another reason to want to be one. The book is great, breaks down techniques making the most complex simple and understandable. Incredible things to do with colour.
