I had the advantage of seeing this on display in Target first and it looks great! It does not look like "some assembly required" furniture and has enough detailing to look very tasteful. The finish was smooth without flaws. The drawer is a nice touch. It's a very nice height. The same quality elsewhere cost at least $100 more. I put mine in my white and blue toile dining room with a lamp on it and it looks stunning. It would also serve well as a console table for smaller entryway. It took only minutes to assemble! As I pulled in the driveway my husband called to say he was heading home from work. Since he is leery about assembly furniture I wanted to put it together before he saw it. I frantically unboxed it, put it together and had the room cleaned up within 20 minutes before he came home! He loved it! My secret is safe! Well worth what you're spending for it - you won't be dissatisfied.
