5.0 out of 5 stars Great vainity stool
I really like this vanity stool and it is adorable with the matching vanity. Not only is it a great height for my daughter now at the age of 4 1/2, but it is a stool that she will be able to use as she gets older. I really love the set and would highly recomend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful but cheap & flimsy - impossible to return even with receipt
I bought the stool and vanity for my 6 yr old for Christmas. Both were poorly made and pieces were broken even as we removed them from the boxes to assemble them. The stool is held together by one screw in each leg and is unstable. The wood is fragile and thin and splits easily upon assembly. The front vaneer panel of the desk fell off in the shipping box. My husband...

A nice basic vanity stool. Very easy to assemble. There's Only four legs to screw on. The top is a classic ivory on ivory print. Adequately padded, not luxuriously, but very nice for the price. It fits well with my French bedroom furniture. I'm very happy.

My husband had to use wood glue to attach it. It was also missing metal hinges that lock the mirrors into place so we had to improvise. On Christmas Eve, we were scrambling to bring together a piece of overpriced junk so my child would have a magical Christmas. She was able to use it for about a week before the stool totally fell apart and the desk vanity permanently jammed shut. The vanity mirror fell apart and hanges from only one hinge. The entire purchase was a disappointment. Target does not back the workmanship of the product and we were unable to return it, even with a receipt, because it was an online purchase. Even if you purchase the items in the store, any returns over $200 must go through a separate customer service center. The customer representatives were courteous but we were still unable to return our purchase, even with receipt. Be aware of Target's return policy before you purchase large ticket items - even online purchases of Target products.

Ordered stool because price was very good. Should have known that quality is related to price and the quality of this stool is non-existent. The legs are stapled on and two of them have broken off. I expect the other two will also break off, but because of our repairs to the broken legs, the stool is more sturdy. Definitely would not order this unless you have someone who can repair it.

This is a very pretty stool, however, the holes that the screws fit into are quite large and they become loose very easily.

I loved this vanity stool upon it's arrival. BOY do I wish I had read the reviews. I saw this stool featured in Country Living magazine. I've never made a purchase after seeing an item in a article. I may not again! 15 minutes after the very simple assembly, just using it as a foot stool, not even putting body weight on the stool, one leg fell off. Hubby fixed that one, then the next one fell off. Now I'm not going to use it. I'm afraid other parts of the construction are just as poor.... maybe it will make good kindling for the wood burner. The corner anchor piece is only in place with poor glue and 2 small brads, that don't seem to enter the wood, just bent over. This item will probably keep me from making any future Shabby Chic purchases because it's so poorly constructed.

A lovely vanity stool. Very easy to assemble. Only took 5 minutes. There are four legs to screw on. The top is a classic ivory on ivory print. Nicely padded. It matches the Vanity table we bought for my 16 year old daughter. She is very happy.

After two days of use one leg snapped off. Attempted to screw/nail in the leg as a "fix-it" but that didn't last long. Then another leg broke off. This was a waste of money... but looked beautiful.

1.0 out of 5 stars PURE JUNK!!, September 7, 2010
This review is from: Simply Shabby Chic™ Vanity Stool - Sour Cream (Kitchen)
The holes are too big for the screws so it is not a firm fit. The first time my 62 lb., 9 year old daughter sat on it, one of the legs gave way. DO NOT BUY THIS STOOL! My husband is going to try and put some washers in it to secure it more, but I've never, ever seen anything made so poorly!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!
