Book Description

August 7, 2000
This book is a refreshingly different variety, because it chronicles over seven years of using Soy for health enhancement.

It takes you from the first day with the author's physician by her side as they both took the first step into the world of alternative for health.

So impressed with the results, the author's phycisian wrote the Foreward to this book.

Read what he and many other medical professionals have to say about Soy, including the good points as well as the warnings.

Review

Great way to learn the good, bad and the ugly of Soy. -- Julia Elliott, Author, May 28,2001

About the Author

Julia Elliott first used Soy as an alternative to synthetic HRT. Besides providing hormonal balance, she noticed it had a major effect on her Chloesterol, bones and heart.

She has written numerous articles on the topic, spoken on radio, appeared on TV, taught classes and workshops at hospitals, and numerous other educational institutions, and serves as the "Soy Source" for Hudson Valley Med Web, Power-Surge, and Women2Women websites.

She has put all that she has learned into this amazing book to make it easier for others to understand Soy.

"Simply Soy: Nature's Own Antidote" is a good book to read because it is based on real life experiences, and not an industry fueled account.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what exactly soy does for menopausal symptoms, May 21, 2001
This review is from: Simply Soy: Nature's Own Antidote (Paperback)
Simply Soy: Nature's Own Antidote is the story of how Julia Elliot, when needing to mitigate the effect of menopause, began to use soy in her diet as an alternative to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Elliott was successfully in lessening her menopausal effects. Simply Soy addresses just what exactly soy does for menopausal symptoms, whether soy can help with hart disease and osteoporosis, and provides interesting, informative, occasionally surprising common sense solutions to these medical issues that particularly confront women going through "the change". Simply Soy is an ardently recommended addition to alternative medicine reference collections and reading lists -- especially for women anticipating, or engaged, with the onset of menopause.
