It is a dark, rich beautiful color!

The paint doesn't seem to "mist" and get all over the way regular spray paints do, and there's not much smell even in small rooms without a lot of ventilation.

One can only partially covered one side of a cushion on a chair.

Color Name: Navy BlueSize Name: 6 Cans
I painted a navy blue sofa that had partially faded in sunlight and taken on a worn, whitish look where people sit. The cheap fabric made it look a lot older and dirtier than it should have with minimal use in six years. Since my choice was to spruce it up or buy a new one, this was a low-risk option for me.

As far as the process, I'd suggest a few things:
-- The sprayer drips a lot. I found wearing gloves and keeping a rag wrapped around the can helped catch some excess
-- For a couch, put cardboard or boxes on the floor for at least 3 feet out on all sides when you're working on it, because you'll drip more than you realize as you work. (Watch where you step, too.)
-- I had one can with a sprayer that jammed, so I swapped it with a sprayer from another can. (They pop off.) No other problems with 12 cans.
-- Wear a mask. I didn't, and I was sneezing blue paint for several days.
-- Wear clothes and shoes you're prepared to ruin. It's messier than you might imagine.
-- Even though it's messy, it's not bad to use inside. The paint doesn't seem to "mist" and get all over the way regular spray paints do, and there's not much smell even in small rooms without a lot of ventilation.
-- Vacuum the furniture before you spray to get any lint or dust off.
-- Slow, even strokes about 8 inches away from the fabric worked best for me.
-- It says you can add a second coat after 20 minutes, but I found it worked better to wait longer (8+ hours). It dries a little differently than you think it will -- it improves as it dries -- so you'll have a better sense of where you need to repaint

Outcome:
-- I'm pleased overall. The couch doesn't look new, but it looks a lot better than it did. It has added a few more years of use to this couch.

This is a very good product. However one can does not go very far.It took two to three cans, to do a small chair.
I can only guess, how many cans it would take to do a large chouch. Since there is nothing else out there, that
I am aware of, if you want to change the color of your upholstery product, you have to use this product.
Be prepaired to buy more than one can.

I have an old slipcovered denim sectional. It was the perfect purchase 13 years ago with 3 small kids with the thought that when the kids got older & the slipcovers were over & done with, I could always purchase new covers and it would be like having a new couch. WRONG! Lesson #1: Look into the cost of replacing the slipcover at the time of purchase - You'll be surprised at how much it will cost you!

Here I am 13 years later and the denim is faded & stained. I have tried washing and dying the slipcovers in the washing machine, but still it was never quite right. When I went to price out how much it would be to replace it (from the manufacturer - Rowe Furniture) I was SHOCKED to find out that to replace the slipcovers would cost me $2,000!!! YES - SERIOUSLY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! And that I couldn't purchase it from Rowe directly, I had to go to a box furniture store and pay the premium... For that amount I could buy an entirely new sofa and call it a day. But alas, the money is not there.... So I came across this product. I will say this, it was EASY to use and the color is fantastic. Does it cost more that the regular Rid Dye? Yes, by far. However, there is less hassel with making sure that no dye has stained your machine and the application is 1-2-3. The color is much deeper looking, and although is won't cover all stains, it certainly was the best "middle of the road" solution for the time being.

Don't underestimate how much you will use. I know it sounds like a lot, but it will be approximately 1 can for 1 cushion (front, back & all 4 sides). I have 13 cushions + 2 arms (corner of sofa has 1 seat with 2 corner backs) and in total I needed 12 cans. $140 to get me through the next few months was well worth it until I can figure out what to do with the sofa. If you have a denim sofa, go for the Navy Blue - It's perfect. :)

Color Name: Charcoal GreySize Name: Single Can Verified Purchase
I wanted to replace the center bench seat on my Chevy Silverado pickup truck with a second-hand center seat/console/armrest. I have the charcoal gray interior -- available seats to match cost at least $450 (used on ebay). Other colors were available (such as tan)... but less than half the price. Obviously, a tan seat would be a poor match. I wanted something that at least looked close, but not spend that much. That's where the Simply Spray comes in.

I bit the bullet and bought a tan console seat. Without going into too much detail on preparing (other than a thorough cleaning), I used the Simply Spray Charcoal Gray to paint the tan upholstery. It's best if you apply in two coats, allowing time to dry between applications. When all was said and done, I now had a perfectly acceptable charcoal gray seat that was a pretty good match to the rest of the vehicle.

Pros:
- Really works to change a fabric's color!
- Simple application
- Overspray on to non-fabric portions of the seat were easily cleaned
- Complete change of color (from lighter to darker -- don't expect
to paint a dark fabric with a lighter color)
- Once dry, no color rubs off on clothing or anything else contacting
the finished project

Cons:
- Finished project is somewhat "rougher/harder" than original fabric
- Best to use one can in a single project -- nozzle is prone to clogging if stored.
If this isn't possible, be sure to clear the nozzle thoroughly
- Spray trigger is very stiff -- might end up with a sore trigger finger
on a large project.

In summary: An inexpensive and effective way to change upholstery or other fabric colors.
