Every kind of fun!, October 2, 2005
This review is from: The Simpsons 2006 Fun Calendar (Calendar)
I LOVE The Simpsons calendars, and was a huge fan of Groening's Life In Hell calendars. These calendars have EVERY Jewish holiday, nearly all Islamic holidays, and even holidays from other nations (White Dog Day, a day in the Iriquoi Indian nation, Eel Festival, Denmark, and so on). Excellent notations on the phases of the moon, as well as solstices, equinoces, and lunar and solar eclipses. But best of all, are the famous birthdays. I NEED to know when Jimi Hendrix's birthday is. I NEED to know that on this day, in 1890, Groucho Marx made his entry into the world. It's important. After having experienced the Simpsons and Life in Hell calendars, all others pale in comparison. The ONLY way it could be made better is with stickers. I also have Hello Kitty calendars, for my kids, because they have stickers like "school picture day" and "dentist!" and so on. My kids love all calendars, and they carry these two giant wall calendars around with them, just looking at the pretty pictures and counting the numbers. The Simpsons calendar artwork is great. The cartoons are little still life drawings of living in Springfield, and you see details in here that you're not going to catch on the show. I love it, wait every year for it to come out, and if I could get to the plant, I'd be waiting for one to come off, actually hot off the presses.

Funny..., April 1, 2006

Any calendar that says it is Christmas on April 1st instead of April Fool's Day is a win in my book. Check it out, this calendar is quite humorous...
