3.0 out of 5 stars I beleive this to be a hard game., November 19, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: The Simpsons: Bart vs. the World (Video Game)
The greatest redeeming value of this game is that it's full of mini games. There are a series of levels in this game and each level has several of its own mini-games that give rewards towards your player. The category of games differ from level. Some have Simpson Trivia, the slide puzzles, Pick the right cup, games of that nature. But the first couple of levels are easy to beat. I cannot get past the Ice Cavern. It's like they purposely made it hard by giving smaller platforms to land on and so forth.

I could vaguely remember this game as a kid when I bought it here on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. All I could remember was skateboarding the Great Wall of China and answering Simpons trivia questions. That was enough for me to pick this up for under $5 bucks and reconnect with my youth. In the past I've bought games I remember playing as a kid and played them now and was let down. It wasn't the case with this game. At first the controls for this game were tough. And it took me forever to beat part 1 of the north pole. But once you beat a level the next time you play it you go through it with relative ease. Which is good because it makes the game challenging but still something you can beat. The bonus games on here are so much fun. You really get that nostalgic feeling playing memory with Simpons characters, and doing the picture puzzles. It's pretty much everything you want in a Simpsons game. You get to skateboard, fly, and use cherry bombs as weapons. You play as Bart for the entire game. Mr. Burns has rigged the art contest on the Krusty the Clown show. It's set up so Bart can win the trip around the world to collect all the Krusty the Clown collectibles. While on the treasure hunt Mr. Burns and Smithers plan to wipe the Simpsons off the planet. Collect all the Krusty pieces from China, The North Pole, Egypt, and finnally Hollywood. There's two endings to this game which I like. You can beat the game without collecting the Krusty pieces but the ending is terrible. Go back and beat the game with all the unique collectibles the Simpsons family gives you through out the game, and you get the alternate ending where you get to throw a pie in MR. Burns' and Smithers face. The serious gamer who's not really into the Simpsons might find this game lame. But if you love the Simpsons and are familar with there other games for NES and SNES add this to your collection. This is definitely the best of the Simpsons NES games.
