The world is a better place because of these!

For the price I was expecting one of those cheap goofy radio controlled toys, where you have Straight-Forward and Turning-Reverse.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun to play with for a while
I got this remote Bart b/c it was so cheap, and I have to say it's worth the money. Bart's arms swing around as if he were really balancing on the skateboard. Normal batteries power it for an acceptable amount of time. And it just looks funny!

The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't work very well on hardwood floors. I was hoping to be able to run it...

The world is a better place because of these!

For the price I was expecting one of those cheap goofy radio controlled toys, where you have Straight-Forward and Turning-Reverse.

But NO! This has independent steering and direction control, not to mention the controller which has the voices built into it. It stands about 12inches tall, and is really made fairly well (I drove mine up-down the driveway, across the lawn, and into the street). It takes 4 AA batteries in the skateboard, and Krusty uses a 9V. A couple other features include: Bart's Torso swivels as he skates, the skateboard is balanced/designed to do quick wheelies while going from reverse to forward, and the wheels are rubbery for pretty good traction most everywhere.

I love this thing. In fact after getting my first two in the mail today, I just ordered 10 more! ...

This product is fun for Simpsons fans from the get-go. Switch on the "Krusty Approved" remote, and he immediately says "Hey hey!", letting you know you're in for a treat. This is meant as a childrens' toy, but it also great fun (plus it's a great display piece) for Simpsons fans and Simpsons collectors. Like any remote control toy, Bart can go forward or backward and turn, but the coolest feature is the abilite to perform a wheelie/spin move. Execute it properly, and Bart will tilt his skateboard backward and start spinning until the his controller either lets him stop, or, in some cases, he falls from his own antics. Luckily, if this does happen, Bart can survive it without so much as a scratch, and the wheels can even be cleaned easily (with a wet paper towel) if they get too dirty, so Bart can soon look just like new. Another great feature, of course, is Bart's phrases, which come from the remote as you give him different commands. "Aye Carumba" "Cool your jets, man" "Hot stuff, commin' through" and devilish laugh can all be heard, and if you (no!) become annoyed with his speeches you can even turn them off. Overall a fun product, and you don't even have to be a young child to enjoy it. I'm almost 15 and have had a lot of fun with the thing. Highly recomended for any Simpsons fan!

....The Krusty controller is a great addition to a perfect Bart figure. Barts detail is so perfect that when looking at the boxed display I think I'm watching the Simpsons. Ok, I don't, but it's still incredible. It's a must for any Simpsons fan and young kids will find Barts skateboarding antics mesmorizing. It's durable because when in use I've hit the wall many times and there is no damage done. This is a great gift idea as well. Also a great display item for the Simpsons collector!!....

I bought one for my 23 year old son, who is a simpson fan. We had so much fun with it that I ordered three more and gave them as gifts to my brother and grand kids (ages ranging from 3 years old to 53). It is a high quality toy. Looks good as it goes and you can do some tricks with it. Much better than many of the radio controlled cars I have seen, because it does more, wheelies, spins on two wheels etc.

My 8 year old daughter received this for a Valentine's present, and spent the rest of the night fighting myself, her dad, and her 16 year old sister to get to play with it! It is an awesome toy, and a great value ...As a matter of fact, that same night, I went back to Amazon and ordered five more, one for the 16 year old (at her insistence), one for my husband (a 38 year old kid at heart), and the rest as gifts for our nephews. I highly recommend this toy. It is extremely detailed, and the Krusty controller is a riot!

... It's a great little remote-contolled item. I am very impressed with the quality of it as most r/c vehicles at this price are junk. This vehicle turns both ways, and goes foreward and backwards. It has rubber wheels, so it has better gripping action, as well as a pretty good electric motor. It goes faster than I had thought it would. The Krusty controller is great too, as it has no actual writing on it, just Krusty's old mug. You move his eyes to control the skateboard. The only somewhat annoying thing is that every time you use controller a voice quote is activated. This can get tiresome after 10 minutes. Mabye this can be turned off, I don't know.

All in all, this is a great r/c product, and i am more than satisfied.

Okay, so I got an amazon.com gift certificate. I didn't want to spend anymore then what the giftcertificate was for, so I just started looking for stuff that I could get. Being a huge simpsons fan, I fist started looking for simpsons toys. This thing caught my eye immediatly. The day it arrived, I was so excited. This thing was unbeelivable. It makes for a great dog entertainer, plus it just is all around amusing. The spin he does is a bit difficult to master, but it is well worth the investment in figuring it out. THis thing is highly durable. I sent mine down some concrete steps, have bashed it into walls, doors, etc. and it still works and loks great. My only two complaints are the phrases that are said every time you push a button on the controller, and the batteries don't last too long. But other than that it is great, so get it.

This is a fantastic toy for a simpsons collector. It is a great deal for the money. It's very durable and runs great on our hardwood floors. With some practice you can get him to do a wheelie/spin. We customised our Bart by adding a cast on his arm and a bandana on his head. What a hoot! If you know a Simpson figure collector they will love this toy!

I love this toy. So many of the Simpsons items I have purchased recently are good quality with careful detail and thought. The remote control is SO CUTE as Krusty's head, and they were smart and figured you might get tired of the voices, so you can run it without them as well. The only issue I have with it is the batteries don't quite seem to fit the compartment right, so it occasionally stops moving or is sporadic so you have to tap it. I found a piece of paper added to the compartment reduced this happening.
