About the Author

Matt Groening, the creator and executive producer of the Emmy^® Award-winning series The Simpsons, as well as creator of the cartoon strip "Life in Hell" and the animated POX television series Futurama, is the man responsible for bringing animation to prime time. Matt Groening, creator and executive producer of Fox's Emmy Award®-winning series The Simpsons, made television history by bringing animation back to primetime and creating an immortal nuclear family. The Simpsons is the longest running primetime animated series in television history and is currently the longest-running comedy on television, having aired more than 400 episodes. In July 2007, the highly anticipated feature film The Simpsons Movie opened in theaters with worldwide grosses of more than $525 million to date.

Originally brought to life in 1987 for The Tracey Ullman Show, The Simpsons was Groening's amazing entry into the television animation world. Previously, he was best-known for his "Life in Hell" cartoon strip, an irreverent portrayal of love, work, school, life and relationships that currently appears in more than 250 newspapers worldwide and in a multitude of books.

Groening's other Emmy-Award®-winning creation, Futurama, launched on Fox in March 1999 and ran for five seasons. I still am a huge Simpson fan,
And this book certainly is a WONDERFUL, detailed, edited
family photo album.
In order, starting from the first to the end, here it is...
The first part is The Simpsons Family Tree.
Then Simpson pictures, etc.
Then Marge as baby, (Patty and Selma as 3 year olds),
and Marge as a kid.
The next page is Homer as a baby, then the next as a kid.
After words, we are in Homer and Marge's high-school years about
4 pages worth.
Then when Homer and Marge get Married.
Then when Bart, Lisa and Maggie were born!
Finnaly, regular pictures of them today.
At the end, it's The Bouviers family tree!

THIS BOOK IS WONDERFUL!!! :)

I loved it. I saw it and just by the cover I knew I had to have it.If you are a true simpsons fan you should realy try to find this book asap. I loved both of the family trees and found out that in a way homer is related to burns! Tons of funny newspaper clips and pictures like one of bart holding a cigerate lighter in his hand at the hospital. Anyone who even likes the simpsons a little bit should get this book.

This Simpsons book is some of the best stuff i've ever read. it makes you laugh until it hurts. the best part is the family tree. (Monty Burns related to Homer?) Although many of the pictures are directly from the episodes, there is still a lot of fresh new stuff just waiting to be found out about the simpsons. The show is already the best on TV, and with this and many other books by matt groening, the show just doesn't get bad!!
