4.0 out of 5 stars not up to par with the other Simpsons characters
Database is the consumate computer/math nerd. He comes with a flute, a tray of food and a stack of text books. He has his little red-framed glasses perched on the tip of his nose and when plugged into the different Springfield environments, he spews his nerdy quips such as "We're very proud to make you a member of our very select group."

In the series, Database doesn't...

2.0 out of 5 stars "Honey, they shrunk Database!!!"
First off... I love the Simpsons figures! They are an amazing line of well crafted and extremely well designed set of action figures! Lots of attention to details. Which is why this one figure in the line is so strange!!! On the Simpsons TV show, Database is one of the larger children in Bart's and Lisa's circle of friends. But for some reason, this figures is not only...

In the series, Database doesn't get much screen time... but he's clearly larger than most of his classmates - perhaps a little less bulky than Nelson, but definitely taller than most of the other kids. In action figure form, however, he's smaller than Bart!

He is typically drawn with his shirt-tail or pocket hanging out over his trousers - but this corner of fabric is painted the same as his pants, and the edge of his pants is a sharp ridge around his middle - definitely not in the same category of realism (if that's the right word) that the other Playmates Simpsons characters enjoy.

Only for the die-hard collector who "must" have every single character to complete their collection.

Which is why this one figure in the line is so strange!!! On the Simpsons TV show, Database is one of the larger children in Bart's and Lisa's circle of friends. But for some reason, this figures is not only smaller than almost all the other children (he is still bigger than Maggie) but he is also disproportionate to the rest! It's like he is a large "toy" for the other toys to play with. Weird!! Playmates dropped the ball with this one, but I forgive them! Or at least I would if they would make a Jay Sherman Simpsons figure!

...I was talking with my brother about how small it was when I got it. So I guess alot of people think what I do. Database is supposed to be a big kid. And I want them to make Jay Sherman too! The Critic was a great show, He could be a celebrity figure. Since Jon Lovitz is the voice and they already have a celebrity one for him. Thanks
