Good Information, September 16, 2005
This review is from: The Sims 2: Nightlife (Prima Official Game Guide) (Paperback)
I picked up a copy of this book yesterday along with the expansion. There are 135 pages dedicated solely to the Nightlife expansion pack, and the remaining 115 a brief recap of the base game the Sims 2. It goes into great detail about the sim interface panel, new social interactions, new apsiration reward object that allows any sim to change aspiration, NPCs, downtown lots, downtown sims, Vampirism and new objects. Also included are new cheats - if you're into playing with them. I recommend this book if you're like me and not into too much trial and error.

Great Guide, November 19, 2005
This review is from: The Sims 2: Nightlife (Prima Official Game Guide) (Paperback)
I actually don't have the game yet (nightlife), but I have this weird obsession about reading about game guides (games that I like, to be exact). But I have played nightlife at my friends house, and the guide proved to be quite useful. Nightlife introduces a whole new different gameplay, your sims are now attracted to one another. They have Chemistry, they can go on dates, and much more. This guide really helps to explain it all. It helps you create sims that have great chemistry together, it shows you how to have a great date. Which, by the way, if you have a horrible date, you'll end up with a flaming bag of poo at your front door, which hopefully you wouldn't want. This guide was a great help, even fun just to look at. Though if your not really a sims freak, i wouldn't reccomend it. But, if you are, GO OUT AND BUY IT!!~^^

Vast improvement over previous Sims guides, January 3, 2006
This review is from: The Sims 2: Nightlife (Prima Official Game Guide) (Paperback)
This guide for Nightlife is useful for both newbies and veterans of Sims 2. It has a lot of good, useful information that will assist anyone using Nightlife; if you have a question about dating, group outings, or vampires, you can probably find an answer in the guide. Although it covers almost everything in Nightlife, you may occasionally have a question about something that isn't covered in the guide, but you can always find an answer on the internet.
This guide also contains a section about the base Sims 2 game, but unlike previous guides, the majority centers on Nightlife. This is better than the previous Sims guides; almost all of them dedicated less than a quarter of the pages to the expansion, and instead filled the guide with (sometimes outdated and incorrect) information about the base game. This guide just contains some of the basics about the original game, so I didn't feel as ripped-off when I bought it.
However, there were still pages that had color pictures of every object in the game. Although this might be somewhat useful to some people, I have never had a problem with looking at the game itself to find out how much an object costs or what category it's in. Plus, I don't really think that the guide is worth the full retail price of $20; try to buy it online or find it discounted somewhere instead.
