Product Description

Students who do not practice their LSAT PrepTests under actual conditions WILL experience a drop in their score on test day. This is because the test-day environment is more intimidating and full of distractions that will undermine months of dedicated LSAT prep.

The SimuGator LSAT Proctor DVD solves this problem! It is the only full video simulation of the LSAT for students to use along with their LSAT PrepTests. With the push of a button, you will be immersed in a realistic LSAT environment complete with: a proctor who tells you when to start, gives the five-minute warning, and tells you when to stop; all of the test-day procedures so you can know what to expect; and the feeling of people being around you making common test-day distractions.

Simply put, this is the only product that lets you 1) accurately time your PrepTests with the push of a button, 2) improve your concentration, and 3) be prepared for anything on test day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money January 12, 2011
Verified Purchase
I took around 40 practice LSATs with the LSAT Proctor DVD and ended up getting a 180 on the actual test. I found the DVD extremely helpful, well worth the $25 cost, and I now recommend it to the students I tutor for the LSAT.

Suggestions for future versions:
- The music in the menu should be quieter than or at the same volume of the proctor\'s voice.
- The music was also kind of annoying, to be honest.
- The DVD was buggy for me at times; I can\'t remember for sure, but I think the girl\'s announcement of the break was always silent for me.

Though this CD is good for everybody but this is great CD for those who have never been in LSAT before or first time LSAT taker. This provides real simulation that how LSAC instructor or LSAT proctor will be announcing instructions during exam, How proctor will stop you to work on other sections, How proctor will announce that only 5 minutes are remaining please check your work. Though girl shown in this CD as a LSAT proctor is kind of polite but in actual exam you may get a very strict, mature, heavy voiced proctor as that will be the real proctor. Make sure your video playing software is updated because I had a real player basic version which didn't allow this CD to play. So I had to play in real player SP version.

Good luck for your exam!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Ingenious Idea January 18, 2010
Preparing for the brutal LSAT examination was quite a journey. I explored many possible avenues for improving my score, which indubitably increases your chances at landing a spot at a prestigious academic institution for legal studies.

You have your LSAT guides, your bibles, your practice exams, and the anxiety. The question is: do you have the complete LSAT experience? Most do not. Many people have yet to discover this great tool. I was one of the lucky few.

Using the LSAT Edition of the Simugator places you in the exam room. No book or other software will do that for you. The sights and sounds of exam day are difficult to replicate; this software does just that! If you feel like you know what you're doing ON THE EXAM, you NEED to know how well you will perform on TEST DAY. These two performance measures are completely different. This product will not teach you how to do well on the exam, but it will bring the LSAT test-taking experience to your home or any location of your convenience.

This product is invaluable, and you will soon realize why I felt compelled to write this review.
I have been following the product for years because it had made such a grand impression with me.
I am currently a second year in law school, thanks in great part to this little software company!

Look into it. You'll love it!

My only negative comment (from what I remember) the music on the CD was lackluster, but the music is not what brings value to this great tool!

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful! August 8, 2010
Verified Purchase
This review will be useful to anyone who is on the fence about purchasing. If you're intending to use this DVD with official prep tests, you have found a winning product. Although if you search the internet hard enough you can find a 35 minute recording to repeat, it does not compare to the content of this DVD. It has a full test with or without distractions (I recommend with distractions because the actual LSAT will not be without distractions.) Used with a DVD capable laptop and headphones (and a dedicated study schedule) this product can result in higher LSAT scores. How do I know? I did it. I hope you do too.

4.0 out of 5 stars a little hokey December 27, 2010
The distractions used in the video, while definitely effective distractions, are a bit hokey and unrealistic. Overall, it's a pretty decent video. It could easily be less expensive for what you get.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says. August 2, 2010
This is a product that is what it says. It's a room, filmed for the length of a full LSAT test, with (a very few, minor) distractions to get you used to real-world conditions. I found it helpful to get the rhythm of the tests, since I didn't take a class. I took a full test every day using this DVD for the three weeks prior to the test, and got a 178. Is it worth the twenty bucks or whatever? Probably not. But I figured since I wasn't blowing a couple grand on a class, the twenty was worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simulation Software August 2, 2010
I purchased this DVD about a yaer ago to help me better deal with all of the distractions that inevitably come with sitting in a room full of strangers for hours on end, in a room that is always either too hot or too cold. I have used this DVD 6 times while taking actual LSAT practice tests and it's been invaluable. I feel that even if the proctor calls time on a test section a couple of minutes early, I will still be ahead of the game because I have a very strong idea of just how much work I can do in 35 minutes, and just about how much time I can devote to each question type.

4.0 out of 5 stars review of SimuGator: LSAT Edition (LSAT Proctor DVD) August 1, 2010
By Tara
This DVD is a great way for practice LSAT tests. It proctors the exam for you which allows for a more accurate score. There are exaggerated distractions throughout the DVD which give you practice with distractions that will be present on test day. I felt very calm when I took the LSAT and I was not easily distracted because I already had experience with proctored exams and with noises going on throughout the test. It was a bit expensive in my opinion which is why I did not give it 5 stars but if you can get it for a less expensive price even better for you!
