I bought this flight simulator in order to practice flying a radio controlled model helicopter I recently purchased. The idea is to crash the simulator, not the actual aircraft, while I'm learning to control it. I previously downloaded the free FMS software, so haven't used the version included with this product. The controller with this kit works almost exactly like the controller that came with my helicopter and the FMS software works with it just great. It's exactly what wanted.

I was pleased with the usb control but i thought i was over priced. The software

that came with it was defective and did not work. The download on their site

did not work either,it was not for Vista and a dll file was missing. I purchased

a simulator software from another company for $39.95 and it worked perfectly.

Over priced, diffucult to get provided software to operate with vista,could not get the heli portion to function.Luckly I was able to return it to Amazon for a refund

I bought this for my son, and found that the OS on my newest desktop computer was not compatible, so the software was loaded on an older laptop. The download went well, but actually flying planes has never gone well at all--so much so, that I haven't tried any extensive trouble shooting. I was hoping for the easy, fun experience I've had at some local hobby stores and fairs, but alas, no luck here.

I bought this toy at price of 44.95, but it does not worth. software does not work well. Controller is ok.

should I spend 40 more on another software?

This is an inexpensive way to practice your rc plane and helicopter flying skills. Even so, I have to admit I am disappointed. The controller is ok - nothing fancy, and only 4 channel, but sufficient. The software is where the whole thing loses it. I used to have a computer flight simulator over 12 years ago , and it came with this exact same software. The graphics, planes, runways,....basically everything is exactly the same. I feel that, over the past 12 years, FMS could have made some major improvements and upgrades. By the way, the software is a FREE online download, so all you are really buying is the controller. I run Win 7, and like a lot of others, I had to find a missing graphics component to run this. The missing component is no longer even packaged with windows because it is outmoded (did I mention this FMS software is REALLY OLD?) I couldn't get the provided version to run correctly, so I downloaded the NEWEST version (??). I runs, but its full of glitches and issues. The helicopters will no longer function. Rather then continuing to mess around with inferior software, I guess I will pay another $40 to get a decent program to use with this controller. I feel I would have been better off just paying for something better in the first place. To sum it up - yes it works, and yes it will help you learn to fly rc and/or sharpen your skills, but it isn't a good value. Spend some more money now, or be disappointed and, like me, spend more later.
