Corrosion of Clutch Society ... ?, May 24, 2007
This review is from: Sin Eater (Audio CD)
Maybe it's not the best album.
Perhaps their sound is sort of like a rip off of the aforementioned bands.
But it's sometimes softer, sometimes faster, sometimes harder, and sometimes slower -- a good mix of various sounds through it's span of tracks.
The one track that prompted me to buy this CD, and that I can't stop listening to over and over again, is "Sleep":
It's got a strange sort of stumbling/tumbling sense of falling asleep, especially if you're on the couch late at night. The sleepy sort of dusk/night time, the falling asleep and then waking up (sometimes with that jolt of "AWAKE") with a start and your heart racing perhaps because of the TV switching programs or something that wakes you up suddenly. Then the stumbling off, turning off lights and finally going to bed and the soft, hypnotic spiral down into deep slumber. Into sleep...
