Really loved this series in Season 1. It was smart, interesting and had great character development. The backstory was poignant and well done. Season 2 was good but strayed a bit into soap land. Still enjoyed it and it kept me guessing. Season 3 has totally deteriorated and feels as if I've gone back 30 years to Days of Our Lives. In my opinion, it's just lost its way and the characters have become caricatures. And what happened to Emily/Amanda clearing her father's name? I understand that the idea is she's lost her way and it's all about 'revenge' now... but the heart of the story - the essence that brought me back every week is gone. I'm bored of the drama for the sake of drama. Most frustrating of all is watching Nolan - my favorite character - reduced to a naive guy who always gets taken advantage of. I must say that if you enjoy soaps, you might like this and find it highly entertaining. I just am having a tough time watching anymore.

The story is ridiculous. The dialogue is sometimes laughable. The clothes and scenery are gorgeous . I can' t stop watching and I haven't a clue why

This show was great, but it has slowly turned into a depressing daytime soap. The Emily who was in control has turned into someone else and there are so many storylines it gets confusing. Emily & Jack are contantly going through ups & downs, and now Aiden too. Victoria is making us sympathize with her and it seems Emily is turning into the old Victoria. There's no hope for happiness or peace or success in her quest anymore and no one I'm rooting for 100% because all the characters are so screwed up now with loyalties in so many different directions. I'm a dreamer though and there is still a small hope within me that either Aiden, Nolan, or Jack will be able to help Emily out of this chaos. It's the only reason I keep watching.

I liked it at one time but now in the 3rd season I feel like the writers are at a loss where to take the story. It has twists and turns just for the sake of keeping the story going and not stalling. I feel like they sit around a table at the last minute to decide what crazy twist to come up with. That;s what probably happens to a series after a while: how long can a story go on before the iniial purpose has dried up. But now it seem that we are watching a circus of silliness.

They finally left the whole "Initative", spy story lines, but it was a little slow getting back on track. I found myself not liking any character except Nolan.

To put it shortly Season 1 was great. The story was fresh, the dynamics between the characters were interesting, the photography was gorgeous and to back it all up with had this tale and storyline of a woman attempting revenge on her father's ex employee who framed him for a crime he didn't commit. Splendid! You could almost feel the essence of the story it did seem like a classic tale however this series unfortunately has extended itself too long and over welcomed it's stay.

What was once a thrilling story of seeking justice, double crossing, plotting and betrayal is now nothing but an over exaggerated, melodramatic and annoying scene after scene of muffled twists and turns. Too many things are thrown at us it's hard to keep track of what exactly is going on. Too much of something is really not that good and sometimes simplicity is key!

It's one thing to create a masterful logic complicated plot, to keep things interesting however it's a completely another matter to hoard this plot to death! The purpose of Emily's ever existence in the lives of the Graysons was to seek revenge and that idea although persistent and toyed with is no longer the spotlight of the series I'm afraid.

A plot about revenge is never intended to take this long, this story would've made much more sense and would've been fantastic if it was introduced as a mini series of 10 episodes per season instead of a full on show. Much less complications and far more superior writing. If we were to crop out all the unnecessary details and uncalled for twists and turns we would've ended summing up the whole 3 seasons to a 2 hour movie. That's just how much contrived scenarios are being shoved down our throat.

Didn't like the 1st episode of this season. Am hoping they will find their way out of this mess. Daniel's character has deteriorated and when I found his character in season 1, I had high hopes for him to turn everything around. He has lost his charm and character. I didn't like the Aiden character from the start and now it seems hopeless for Ems to ever be "alright". Although I learned to dislike Conrad's character, I don't think killing him off will help the show. Victoria seems to be the one character that has remained stable and I don't like Em's takeover of the Grayson Manor. And they said they wouldn't bring David Clark back.......but here he is! And poor Nolan has been screwed over so many times. At one time, I thought he and Em's might be brother and sister. And they totally blew his character out of the water when they took his company away from him. I guess I sort of feel like it's Humpty Dumpty......all the king's horses etc. etc. They will never get it back together again!
