4.0 out of 5 stars Cusick's work great as usual, but...., March 15, 2006

This review is from: Sin and Salvation (The Unseen, Part 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am such a R.T.C. fan, that I find it hard to not like anything she's done. Though that doesn't mean I don't see things right in front of my face.

While I loved this series and the intense darkness it held in it, book #4 left something to be desired in the way it ended.

Read no further if you have yet to read the conclusion...

I became really attached to a certain character, of whom I'm sure those of you who have read this book, know whom I speak of.
This character I found to have a very abrubt end. The male left standing... well, I never saw it coming. It was a character I'd come to hate and the one I liked, didn't survive the end of the book. Why? And the main character seemed to have done off the deep end in the last few pages. She fought so hard against this evil, and all of a suddon she's all gung-ho to join it?!?

The end seemed to be off balanced. I lost almost all affection I held for our heroine, with the way it ended.

It almost seemed as if there should be one more book to solve this mess Lucy has thrown heself into. Maybe a reserection of the character I spoke of, could save her....
A though.

I loved the series regardless though.

5.0 out of 5 stars WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD, March 6, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sin and Salvation (The Unseen, Part 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ahhh anyone who can answer this will be greatly appreciated; I think Poesuicide (the one who replied to the person above) might know. But anything would be appreciated!

I absolutely loved the books, they were amazing, but I honestly didn't get the ending. =\

-What was Byron's connection to the whole thing? Was he 'bad' too? If not, then he was still one of these human-wolf-beast things, right? So then, if he was still Gran's grandchild an Katherine's brother, how could he have been that thing? Wasn't Katherine AFRAID of the beast things?

-So Jared was good? Nicholas was bad? There were TWO of the 'HE's?? Ahhh. But then, see I kind of got it till the end, when she's all ready to go with Jared. But then, he shape-shifts into the BAD guy or something? Or am I thinking totally off? Because at the end when he goes "But you never know what you have with a shape-shifter" he seems really evil and then he sinks his teeth into her neck? Did he turn back into Nicholas or something? My question is, is Lucy happy with the end? If she is, then it's all good and they're not evil? But I still miss Matt.

-And as for reading again, would it be enough just to read the LAST book again to figure it out? =\

I would REALLY appreciate it if you could explain everything to me. =P
(Oh and didn't Gran know Byron was a beast thing? And didn't Byron himself know? TELL me he was good! I would hate for him to be an evil one too. =( And what was with the Byron being the only sworn enemy without knowing it thing, except Jared was the one that killed Nicholas? Or did he really? Ahh, so confused!)

3.0 out of 5 stars 3 Heels for Sin and Salvation, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Sin and Salvation (The Unseen, Part 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
In the final installment of the series, Sin and Salvation Lucy has to battle evil once and for all so she can stop more innocent people from getting hurt/killed, and stop what/who is responsible for her "visions". She gets quite a shock towards the end, finding out a close friend/confidant is not who she thought they were. I will say, I had my suspicions as to who the "bad guy" was going to be, and I was part correct/part shocked. Read my full review at: www (dot) shoe-girl (dot) com
