More About the Author

I've been writing for a few years now, having studied screenwriting at a well known film school. I've always loved creating romantic stories and wanting to try my hand at penning a novel, I decided to turn one of my screenplays into a book. HER PERFECT REVENGE was born.

But because I come from a screenwriting background, I tend to write my books more like movies. As you read my stories, you'll find yourself 'watching' that film playing inside your head while at the same time, feeling all of the emotions that my crazy characters are going through. I hope you have FUN!

HER PERFECT REVENGE has also been released as a Japanese manga novel by Ohzora Publishing. Illustrations were done by artist Hiromi Kobayashi.

WHY ROMEO HATES JULIET, another romantic comedy, is my second book.

SIN & SAVAGE, a romantic thrill ride, is my third.

Good grief I had to make myself finish this. Tori and her Nanna were both so annoying and honestly both of them were stupid. I'm so tired of tstl heroines. Who in their right mind asks a creepy bartender to dance just to prove a point? I felt that the story was also too long and very predictable. Lastly the hero Matt broke one of my rules by kissing and rubbing on a waitress right in front of Tori. Seriously just made me sick. I'm not sure what she was to him cause I found myself skipping chapters but that's not cool in my book and it always makes me wary of the actual romance. I don't even think that would have been so bad had the story itself been better. I did not believe in H/h love. To me it was just lust.

Anna Mara is my new favorite author.

Establishing herself as an author of incredible wit, depth of emotion, and charm, she has all the raw emotionalism of Sandra Brown, sexual chemistry of Linda Howard, sweetness of Jude Deveraux, and heart of Julie Garwood.

Read this book.

**SPOILER ALERT AHEAD**

I mean, it was quite obvious he was a cop after reading several paragraphs about him; but that wasn't the point. It was her sheer bravery in her love for him BEFORE she knew. She was a stereotypical Southern girl: church, blond hair, chaste, and twang. I mean, I am not Christian, and I dislike having any religion stuffed down my gullet; but the author did it with such humor and class. I never felt that I needed to succumb to some guilt-trip laden emotionalism clap-trap. It was done with cheek and authenticity. I loved how deeply she believed in good, not how deeply she believed in her believing the right religion (which is so often confused with the church-y folk).

Anyways, thanks, Anna Mara!

You've restored my faith in romance again (it was a rocky stretch there for a while- reading indie books with high school level emotional maturity and editing).

You have a lifelong fan. Please continue to write books that are FUN. Yours are so beautiful in their sweetness and hilarity. Too many authors try to go to grit and drama, but don't have the darkness for it- ending up with maudlin and macabre. E.g. Julie Garwood's latest books (versus her sweet historical romances). *sigh* If you could swing a time-travel, I would grovel at your feet (my ultimate sub-genre).

What a treat this was. I was so hired on Tori and Savage I had to read the story in one setting. I loved how the writer kept up the them of motorcycle gang and all of the illegal elements that went with it. The flames of faith and religious points were not shouted out loud but you recognized that this was a Christian book with real life issues involved in romance.

Story line was good but the constant cussing was just over the top and so unnecessary. It would really have been a good book if not for all the filthy talk.

After struggling to get 60% of this read, I'm giving up. The overall plot is interesting but so poorly carried out that I'm embarrassed. The characters are not realistic (the protagonist has to be the stupidest person ever), the dialog and text awkward, but the last straw? The author wrote "he secured the firing button to the off position", but the gun is a Glock and they don't have a " firing button" (which would be called the safety) - the Glock's safety is in the trigger. I suggest a review of English, a writing course, and research before rewriting this, then get a good proof reader.

A pastor's daughter and her grandma are on a journey to find her grandma's boyfriend that she found on the Internet. She thinks her grandma is nuts, but her grandma swears she feels her tingle. The tingle means the man is trustworthy. And as proof she didn't feel the tingle when she met her granddaughter's ex husband Tod. She hires Savage to locate the man for her. What results is a book full of twists and turns and stupid decisions. Is the attraction she feels toward Savage one of them? There is a fairly liberal use of the F word in this book but considering the situation it fits in this particular instance.

It pains me to give books a single star for a review. But I felt that this one only deserved that one, lone star. Everything about it was a huge turnoff. The plot was not only unbelievable and unrealistic, but it was goofy and absurd and corny. And their dialogue wasn't much better. I love a hero decked in leather, riding a motorcycle and sporting a wild side -- but wow, this guy did not do it for me, paired with the bizarre damsel in distress. I really wanted to like this book, but it fell short. Very short.
