I have both of "Sinbads Sounds of the 70s" shows. I cherish them ! (As a matter of fact, just watched them about 2 weekes ago!), unfortunately, they are both on a VHS Tape, since that was the format that we could record at the time. I have both shows, and on each show, each performer did at least 3 songs. If you buy this, you are cheating yourself...

HBO Should have released both of these shows on DVD already

I find it incredibly hard to believe there is NOT a package deal of all the annual SUMMER JAM concerts for sale out there in the universe. These concerts were the best I've ever seen in my life, of R&B Living Legends put together! The compilation of the greatest soul music ever made, located on an island, comedy by Sinbad included, not just in audio but video as well, has to be dubbed one of the greatest shows on earth. Artists such as Jeffrey Osborne, Al Green, The Gap Band, The Isley Brothers, Evelyn "Champagne" King, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Con Funk Shun, Chaka Kahn & Lake Side, just to name a few, performed their hearts out. The music is as good live as it was on album, 8-track, cassette or CD. HBO or someone should have copies available somewhere for sale.

Please!!!!! If there is anyone out there who has recorded all of the concerts (especially the one with the Isley Brothers) on DVD, please contact me via email (kysullvn@memphis.edu) and name your price.

I remember seeing this on HBO when they were broadcasting these shows live, and it was great to find the music on cd.
