Lenny Welch is an American MOR/pop singer. He was raised in Asbury Park, New Jersey. His biggest hit, a cover version of the big band standard "Since I Fell for You," reached number 4 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1963. His other hits included "Ebb Tide" in 1964 that was featured in the film Sweet Bird of Youth. He also recorded the first vocal version of "A Taste of Honey" in 1962.

I have been a fan of Lenny's since I heard "You Don't Know Me". I was fortunate to have seen him perform in person and he was great. One of the most exciting performers I've ever seen.
This collection is from his recordings at Cadence Records and contains some great tracks. It's really a shame that other than "Since I Fell For You" and a few other singles, he has not received the recognition he so rightly deserved, however, his voice comes through. This is a great collection, and I hope someone releases the hits he had on Kapp and Commonwealth Records soon.
