Editorial Reviews

Review

"Since When Is Fran Drescher Jewish? is a timely contribution to the field of contemporary Italian media studies and provides a media-industry perspective on the translation, adaptation, and dubbing of foreign audiovisuals into the Italian national context. Ferrari's book represents a good point of departure for anyone who desires to begin an investigation of the complexities of audiovisual translations." - Giulia Centineo, University of California, Santa Cruz, Italian American Review

More About the Author

Chiara Ferrari received her BA in Philosophy from the University of Genova, but soon realized her passion truly lied in cinema and media studies, so decided to go to UCLA where she received her Ph.D. in 2007. She has lived in Arizona where she fell in love with the blooming desert, she has lived in Los Angeles where she fell in love with movie theaters at every corner, and she is currently living in Chico where she falls in love, every year, with spring and autumn. Her heart, however, still lies in her hometown Genova and her mom's pesto.
