This release from Grannis demonstrates how young musicians are, thankfully, still able to express themselves with mature musical ideas and lyrics. Kina's voice is incomparable to anyone else's i know. her sounds are soothing and melodious. "Blindly," "people" and "Another day" are all great tracks. Kina's style is extremely individualistic; her high voice flows seamlessly over the sounds of her guitar. support new music and buy this EP.

Great songs about love lost and the wherewithal to get back up and start anew. Kina is great at getting the massage of self-determination across in all these songs. She shows fantastic vocal range on "Blindly" There's true affirmation in the intelligent and heartfelt lyrics of "Next Time" all delivered in a self-assured manner that allows for Kina's sing/talk rhythm to get the message across. Listen close and you'll hear flourishes of some of Rock's greatest songwriters from the last 20 years informing Kina's work while still letting her own voice move forward in her signature style. Even when she's down, we know she'll pick herself up, dust herself off, and get back to living life on her terms.

If you watched the superbowl in 2008, you saw this artist won the Doritos music contest, and what a good choice was made. If you enjoyed "Message from your heart" make sure you pick up this CD. It truly is a demo of whats to come from this wonderfully talented artist.
