1.0 out of 5 stars A sermon, not a story, March 22, 2007
This review is from: Sincerely Yours/A Measure of Grace (Mail Order Bride Series 7-8) (Hardcover)
I am a Christian - raised in a "bible believing" (a phrase these authors love to use) home and I hated this book. If you want a sermon...read it. If you want a great story with interesting characters who have a smack of reality...don't. The dialogue was stilted (that's being nice). Here's a quote "Tomorrow I'm getting married and it's going to be the best day of my life, except for the day I became a child of Christ!" I know that sounds benign and even sweet but that kind of thing is said every two or three sentences. The characters are completely one dimensional with no real heart and no intellect. I almost kept reading just to see how bad these authors could make their characters...they did a great job.
