I have looked and looked for a copy of this book. Finally found it, and it is exactly what it was promised to be. It is the only complete and useful book ever published for basic (vintage) sewing machine repair. It is AWESOME.

Great Book for Learning Vingtage Sewing Machine Repair

Sincere's sewing machine service book is a great reference for the non-technician who like to service machines maybe as a hobby or sideline. More detailed information than is covered in the book can be found online, however this is a clearly expressed, typewritten manuscript style with easy to understand drawings and diagrams.General information is easy to understand. Specific application to a machine not identified in the manual isn't hard to make. It is a useful learning tool.

Sincere's Sewing Machine Service Book

Format: Hardcover

This is a fabulous book. It has detailed pictures and information on a variety of machines from the old shuttle machines right up to the newest machines in the mid 1970s. This book does not cover any computerized machines, but that's ok. It does cover machines that can be serviced by just about anyone, since the directions are very step-by-step. The author also explains a bit of history and theory along the way. I'm not a service technician, but this book helps me keep my older machines purring away. I also like the fact that all the parts have proper names, so that if I have to buy a part, I can sound more intellegent. This book is definitely a must buy for any one who loves or collects older machines!
