5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read for All Christians...
"Sinful Silence" is not only easy to read, but it makes a compelling case for why all Christians have a duty to be involved in the political process. The book doesn't try to force Christians to vote for one party over another, it merely makes all of us realize that voting and being involved citizens is a duty the Bible has given us. This book is great read, and in...

1.0 out of 5 stars will appeal to the masses
The book was extremely simple to read. I won't say boring. However, it was difficult to plod through it. The concept that absence of political activism in one's life can keep God from hearing our prayers or blessing our ministries is one that I am unfamiliar with and have trouble reinforcing biblically as it is presented in the book. The authors do refer to Biblical...

This review is from: Sinful Silence: WHEN CHRISTIANS NEGLECT THEIR CIVIC DUTY (Paperback)
"Sinful Silence" is not only easy to read, but it makes a compelling case for why all Christians have a duty to be involved in the political process. The book doesn't try to force Christians to vote for one party over another, it merely makes all of us realize that voting and being involved citizens is a duty the Bible has given us. This book is great read, and in addition to reading it yourself, I recommend giving a copy to your pastor.

This review is from: Sinful Silence: WHEN CHRISTIANS NEGLECT THEIR CIVIC DUTY (Paperback)
The authors do refer to Biblical references. However, their interpretations are just that - interpretations. I am not a political activist and God has worked wonders in my life. It appears to me that many Biblical figures were blessed without this requirement as well. Unfortunately the list of individuals endorsing the book immediately exposes the slant of the authors. Because of the strong endorsements,I expected to find many other writings by the authors. Surprisingly, I wasn't able to.
