Victor McGlothin is back with another page-turner - "Sinful Too." Only one word could describe Dior Wicker and its "trifling." She will do anything to get what she wants regardless of the consequences. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good until the end
I bought this book because it was supposed to be a sequel to Sinful. Where were Chandelle and Marvin? Was Dior pregnant from the first book? They never let you know. This one was all about Dior, which was fine. She was scheming enough through it all. I didn't care for the ending. It was weak, just like Sinful. I wanted to see Dior or Rev. Richard in another sequel, but I...

Victor McGlothin is back with another page-turner - "Sinful Too." Only one word could describe Dior Wicker and its "trifling." She will do anything to get what she wants regardless of the consequences. Dior's twin brother begs her to change her ways, but she refuses to listen and continues to wreck havoc in other people's lives.

When Dior world collides with Pastor Richard Allamay, trouble is not far behind. Richard's inner spirit struggles with desires of lust and with the desire to be faithful to his wife. The decisions Dior and Richard make will forever alter their lives.

Nadeen, Richard's wife, knows that being the First Lady comes with a price. A price she's been willing to pay due to her love for Richard. A previous indiscretion on Richard's part has her doubting herself in many areas. She struggles with insecurities verses the truth.

What happens during the course of the story will not only affect Richard and Nadeen, but the lives of their children.

Sinful Too has the perfect formula for an entertaining read - unforgettable characters and scenes filled with drama. McGlothin has delivered one drama-packed novel that will keep book clubs talking long after they close the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars All About Me, Money and Me, November 12, 2008

This review is from: Sinful Too (Paperback)
Pastor Richard Allamay has never fought the devil as hard as he will have to after meeting beautiful, sexy and conniving, Dior Wicker. The Pastor of one of the largest mega-churches in Texas will have to fight the tempting sexual advances of a hood rat, wanna-be the next First Lady, seductress. Unfortunately, the woman has one of the most beautiful bodies he has ever seen and one he would love to touch and taste. But, if he touches, can he still have all the power, riches and respect he receives from his sheep? Will his carnal desire for the sneaky Dior, who has never stepped inside his church, be worth giving it all up? Dior doesn't plan on letting the pastor go until she becomes the new First Lady..

Victor McGlothin has written a page-turner about the antics of a woman who wants it all. She needs money to live up to her high maintenance standards. She will stop at nothing from bedding men for money, to manipulating the pastor to get what she wants. SINFUL TOO will make you want to slap Pastor Richard Allamay for standing in the pulpit preaching about the very sins he is doing without any hints of guilt. Preachers like him should fear the wrath of God for knowingly breaking most of the Ten Commandments. Even though there are no perfect men, this pastor makes you want to find religion at home. McGlothin should be applauded for writing a sequel that stands on its own. He ties the first and second books together so smoothly that it is not necessary to read "Sinful." Yet, you will want to, to make sure Dior gets what she deserves in each book. This book is filled with enough drama to cause a headache and make you want to eat several Klondike bars just to lower your blood pressure. This book is recommended to all parishioners who place pastors on pedestals without understanding they are imperfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revelations, October 26, 2008
This review is from: Sinful Too (Paperback)
Dior Wicker and her twin brother, Dooney, had hard lives as children. Their mom was in prison and they were poor. Because of this, Dior decided to work at getting whatever it was that she wanted especially in relation to money. She loves money and the power that comes with it. Dior works as a sales associate at Giorgio, a men's clothing store. She makes great commissions and not just from her sales.

Dr. Richard Allamay PHD is the pastor of Methodist Episcopal Greater Apostolic Church. While shopping at Giorgio's he is captured by Dior's beauty. Pastor Allamay really can't get his mind off of this woman because she made him feel that special.

Dior has no idea who Pastor Allamay is, nor does she care, until her friend Tangy tells her who he is and how large his church is. Dior takes a peek at his televised Sunday service, immediately sees the dollar signs and starts calculating what she can get from him. Struggling very hard to resist his urges, Pastor Allamay soon finds himself in hot pursuit.

`Sinful Too' is an electrifying read loaded with memorable characters and plenty of drama. Readers see the before and after effects a simple compliment can cause to the lives of everyone involved. I highly recommend reading `Sinful' as well as `Sinful Too' and I can hardly wait for the next installment. Victor, I know you don't intend to keep your readers wondering.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an ending...., November 23, 2009

This review is from: Sinful Too (Paperback)
I equally enjoyed this book as much as I did "Sinful"---I was really rooting for Dior to get her life back but I was pleasantly surprised by the direction he took the characters of this book. There are not always picture perfect happy endings...and he deals with this in a very authentic way.

I thought Dior would have learned her lesson in "Sinful" but as we find out she doesn't and decides to continue to play with God...she is a babe so I don't expect much from her but Richard the mega pastor who knows better learns how playing with fire can get you burned. You can never get too high and avoid ever being touched...I think the scene that I almost jumped out of my skin is when they take the trip to New Orleans...couldn't believe how bold things had gotten. You will have to read the book to see what I am talking about.

Great job Victor. This is a must read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sinful Too by Victor McGlothin, July 26, 2009
By
This review is from: Sinful Too (Paperback)
Sinful Too is the dramatic followup to Sinful by Victor McGlothin. This book is for readers who love great "hood rich" novels.

Dior is a woman who is on top of her "A" game--or so she thought. She values her job so much that with her sharp wit and eye for fashion, she can pin a man's suit size in no time. She works hard and plays harder to win. She is defined as a "ghetto girl playing dress-up", but at what expense?

Dior crosses the line after she meets Richard Allamay of the Methodist Episcopal Greater Apostolic (M.E.G.A) Church. She plans to implant herself into his life but she had only one obstacle: the first lady. Dior goes to the extreme to get what she wants, not realizing she will have to pay dearly. Silly Dior, tricks are for kids.

Sinful Too was slow for me. I feel like more description of the settings and characters would have helped me capture the essence of the plot more. The big words were too much, especially since it's a 'hood rich' novel.

I have read many books By Victor McGlothin, all I can say is WOW! I enjoyed this novel more than I should have. I identified with many of the characters in this story more than I should have. Dior got hers which was no more than she deserved. There are many Richards (love that name, Diors, and Nadeens, too many. Thanks for this one. I put it right up there with Down On My Knees.
