My one-and-a-half year old got this package from her aunt and uncle. She loves all three books, but The Lady With the Alligator Purse and Skip to my Lou in particular. My only real complaint is that the music is on a cassette, not a CD, so I can't play it in my car (though I suppose that may be a blessing of sorts), and I can't skip a track easily. Also, with just three songs it can get a bit repetitive, though my daughter is totally unconcerned about such quibbles. Be warned: the songs are infectious, and will get stuck in your head for days and days. Still, great fun for all.

I had this product for my older kids when they were younger and they loved listening to the tape while flipping through the books. Books are cute, solid and easy to follow along with. However, I bought this set for my 1 year old for her birthday and it arrived with no tape. For $44 - I expect exactly what I paid for and am very dissappointed that the tape set was advertised but not provided. Won't use this seller again.

A friend recommended this to us. The tape's music is very fast, so it's not ideal for children to listen to the tape and look at the book at the same time. They would miss too much of the book. After I learned the tune, it's better to sing slowly, so the kids can take in all the pictures. There's a lot of fun illustrations and details, so my son loves "reading" the books over and over again. We bought this when my son was 1, and he's nearly 2 now, and still is enjoying the trio of books.

A good deal for 3 well illustrated board books. The sound quality on the tape is disappointing, but the board books made up for it. It would be better if the songs were recorded on CD instead of cassette tape.

I have cassette tape players for all of my grandchildren - after we've read a book, the children can choose the cassette they want to listen to, put it in and take it out without worries about scratching. These tapes are good.

These books are wonderful, BUT why is a tape included & not a CD? Who has a tape player anymore?
