A great singer passed her prime, January 25, 2012

Julie Rogers was really a great singer! She sung with pathos, true conviction, and sincerity. If this record were made earlier, let say, 15 years, it would be a great album. The Julie you heard on this album really passed her prime, her voice showed the fatique of old age. Though her diction and phrasing were still impeccable, the raspiness of her voice and occasional difficulty in reaching the right pitches had dampened her unique rendition of the 14 classic torch and love songs.
