Here, the ever-expanding circle of 8- to 17-year-old musical-theater veterans belt their way through a medley of classics in their preternaturally big, sweet voices; represented are tunes from Annie, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Les Misérables, Oliver!, Peter Pan, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, The King and I, and a handful of others. It's far more than an introductory course to the sounds of the stage. Through its clear-voiced interpreters and thoughtful liner notes detailing each number's origin and pertinent story line, Sing Broadway tells the tales that percolate in kids' minds, helping to shape later perspectives (exasperated parents may be predisposed to hitting the Repeat button on "Tomorrow"--with its melodious "only a day away" message--around birthdays and Christmas). This was the CD we played the most while driving with my 60year old mother and 3 year old daughter this summer. The French andGerman countryside rang with the lovely voices on "Castles in a Cloud", "Happiness" and the very American "Gary, Indiana". My daughter performs the "Annie" medley for us every chance she gets and gives special emphasis when singing "I Won't Grow Up". I look forward to purchasing and listening to the other Broadway Kids offerings. On a rainy afternoon, it's fun use this music to act out our own Broadway show. My mother especially loved the "Oliver" medley and the clarity and sweetness of the children's voices! I highly recommend it for the entertainer in your child. TS

This is my 3 year old daughter's favorite CD. It has a great variety of songs from different shows. She loves to sing along, and will be able to identfy with the shows as she gets older. The kids are very talented, and most of the songs are easy to sing along with. Even I enjoy them (as a mom!). Its a welcome break from Barney and Sesame Street.

I am 14 years old and I absolutely LOVE this CD. I am an active Party of Five fan and I especially enjoy listening to Lacey Chabert's then 8-year-old voice on this wonderful CD. It's great for people of all ages. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Broadway!
