I don't know about Karaoke, but I do know about musical theatre. I used some of the karaoke tracks as backing tracks for my musical theatre students. They really are quite good! They even have back up vocals on tracks like "The Rum Tum Tugger." Very cool!

The backing tracks in terms of quality are truly excellent. Unfortunately there are some problems. Firstly the recoding are not CD+G so a Karaoke player does not recognise them, a bit of a problem if you are marketing a sing along recording! Secondly the recording are read by Real Player both the same so the voices on is seen as identical to the voices off. So no prizes for the technical production.

Absolutely LOVE this back track! Makes it easy to sing your favorites from the musical! Great quality!

This product is pretty good. Keys were right for me (male, somewhere between baritone and tenor), the tracks actually sound like (for the most part) the show! My one complaint is about the background vocals. There are 2 CD's in this set. CD 1 is the full track. CD is the background vocals. The background vocals are over used. I can see how you would need them if you were only singing one part, but if you're planning on using it in rehearsal for an actual cast or something alnog those lines, you're sol.
