5.0 out of 5 stars Can't miss an episode
This is as good as you get when it comes to Pop. The songs are catcy enough without getting cheesy, and it makes me respect Sherwood for making this album. There is a sense of loss of home, which comes from Track 4 Lake Tahoe. Filed amongst a lot of TV's and stereo's, this is a good find, and probably one of the better pop/rock acts for 2005. 3.0 out of 5 stars So Much Potential, Hopefully They Find It
Review by Ray Harkins:

This seems to be the year for "sophomore slumps" for most of the newer releases that have hit toward the first half of this year. All of the "big" releases in one way or another haven't delivered on different levels (with the exception of a few).

Sherwood, on their debut EP reminded all of us how fun it was to hear a young...

I can't get these songs out of my head. It should come with a warning label for things like that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD, waiting for the next one, June 14, 2005
This review is from: Sing But Keep Going (Audio CD)
I've known these guys for a few years now and have run sound for them since before they started touring. They are solid musicians and only getting better. I've been impressed every time I hear them live. Their energy is amazing and they've only gotten better with time. I particularly love the drums and organ, but the other instruments are great too.

Personally I liked their first CD better, but this is a more polished sound and very good in its own right. I just wish some of the songs were longer because I tend to get into them and then they are over. I'll keep an eye out for their next CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars ahhhhh...... sherwood, June 2, 2005
This review is from: Sing But Keep Going (Audio CD)
sherwood rocks my socks off. their music is amazing, and their live shows are even better. just get the cd; you'll love it, i promise. they take the best from many different genres and combines it into one great sound-fest for your ears! everyone who i have played this for loves it, not one person has said "ehhhhhh, its just alright".
if you love this album, get their super catchy self titled demo disc from smartpunk.com.

Sherwood is way talented and deffinatly a band on the rise! This is a must have cd. Check out www.purevolume.com/sherwood for more songs or check out their website www.sherwoodmusic.net The song "The Summer Sends Its Love" (not on this cd) was also on the show Radio Free Roscoe. If you like this CD you might also want to check out The Pettit Project (pronounced ped-it).
Keep on singing, Sherwood!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good listening. Never gets old., June 1, 2005
This review is from: Sing But Keep Going (Audio CD)
Really enjoyable. Ambitious and unique, Sherwood has put out an impressive debut album, influenced by long-time legends such as Brian Wilson as well as modern day indie/ pop rock groups. Poetry for lyrics. Rhythmical and intricate. And with the creativity of Sherwood's organ/keyboard and the occasional use of jingle bells, you'll have a newfound crush on melody if you don't have one already. Five Stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars great, December 14, 2006
This review is from: Sing But Keep Going (Audio CD)
if you like melody and originality.
with their 2 eps and 1 full-length the only thing going against them is that even though all the songs are individual and different they have a same soundingness, which hopefully in time will bloom into something good.

This review is from: Sing But Keep Going (Audio CD)
I love this cd... and not just because i know the guys. It's good. Not only are they really good live but they put out a cd that you can listen to from start to finish and not want to skip a track. Probably the best summer album of the past few years. If you ever get a chance, go see em live. Tons of energy, and they love to talk to people. All that and theyre from SLO... can't beat it. Great cd, great guys, great band... buy it now
