Editorial Reviews

A mix of powerful, rasp-ready baritone vocals with funky flea-esque bass grooves, thundering drums and a blend of styles from surf rock to reggae, alternative, folk and blues. The trio that are the Daniel Wesley band hail from the Greater Vancouver area in supernatural British Columbia, Canada. The products of local rock bands such as General Mayhem, Audiophile and Replica, as well as years of musical training and experience, the Daniel Wesley band are carving out a new path for themselves. With a sound reminiscent of beach, roots, reggae and rock, singer/songwriter/guitarist Daniel Wesley, bassist Mark Luongo and drummer Alex Glassford are ready, willing and more than up to the challenge of taking their music to a higher level. Their music comes from the heart and makes you move n' groove. 1 Untitled #22 Radio3 Ooo Ohh4 My Pony5 So Fine6 Sing & Dance7 Inside You8 Nyquil9 24H10 Lonely Life11 Fade Me

5.0 out of 5 stars Surf Rock, July 30, 2009
This review is from: Sing + Dance (Audio CD)
I really enjoy this whole album. It is very earthy/reggae with great beats and it is perfect for you if you like Sublime, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Ben Harper or Jack Johnson.
It's perfect "Surfer Rock."
"Ooh Ohh" is still my favorite song, but you can't go wrong they are all really great tracks.
Pony is also really amazing! It's a slower version of the Ginuwine's "My Pony." One listen and you'll be hooked.

The CD always finds its way into my CD player and seems to stay there all summer.

If you've never heard of the band, buy the album and try it out. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, December 16, 2007
This review is from: Sing & Dance (Audio CD)
A mix of acoustic and ska. Some reviews label it as surf music, but who knows what surf music really sounds like. I loved it
