Recorded in the original show key and show tempo, two versions of each song are included (versions with and without guide vocals). Backing tracks are fully-orchestrated. A great rehearsal tool.

This Dreamgirls version is consistent with the Broadway Musical. The accompaniment tracks are well orchestrated and great for our rehearsals. Most of the original songs did not change when they were used in the film, so I would recommend it to people interested in the movie. This album is the only one I've found that provides alternative versions of Cadillac Man.

I ordered this (at quite a cost) hoping that this would be the new orchestration that is currently in the Dreamgirls movie--or at least a more current version than the original. But, alas, no cigar!
