songs created to teach skills, children seem to catch on and remember the words, which in turn teaches them letter sounds.

I like Jean Feldman's recordings for young children because the lyrics are simple and the tempo is slower. Most preschoolers enjoy singing and learning new songs, but they become frustrated when songs are too wordy or the music is too fast. Feldman sometimes also utilizes familiar tunes adding different lyrics. The selection I use most from this CD is the Shape Family... although the pitch is quite low. This CD contains songs which are helpful in teaching a particular concept... shapes, colors, opposites, and more. They are short, upbeat, and easy to learn.

Very cute tunes for young children to learn by. The songs for the "States" and "Presidents" are fun and educational for the whole family. Only drawback about "Presidents" song is that it ends with Clinton!!
