The beautifully captured reverberant sound of the acoustic space is matched by gorgeous choral balance, precise diction, and definitive interpretation. In spite of the contemporary style of the compositions - Rorem doesn't shy away from crunchy dissonances - this is a very enjoyable collection of Choral music with many beautfiul moments.

Having sung a few of the pieces presented on this CD I was surprised at how varied Rorem's music is. I didn't know a lot of the music on this CD and was very pleased to hear this disc. I believe the Concora singers have done a really great job with these performances. Just lovely singing. I've recommended a few of these to my choir director. I'm very saitsfied with my purchase.
