4.0 out of 5 stars Good but a few major problems.
These songs come with both karaoke(with voices) and accompaniment(without voices). It's a great product but the songs sound different from how they are in the movie. Their pace is a bit faster and for some songs, the parts where you hold a note for a long time are cut short. For example, at the end of Think of Me, in the movie, Christine beautifully ends with about 30...

I was very upset that this came with no written lyrics!! How are we supposed to learn the songs without lyrics. I felt the description of the product was very misleading.

These songs come with both karaoke(with voices) and accompaniment(without voices). It's a great product but the songs sound different from how they are in the movie. Their pace is a bit faster and for some songs, the parts where you hold a note for a long time are cut short. For example, at the end of Think of Me, in the movie, Christine beautifully ends with about 30 seconds of skiting of's. On this CD, the ending is cut down to about 25. I know it sounds like it's not much but if you try to sing this song how it is in the movie with the song on this cd, it won't be the same. If you are really good and know how to manage you'll be fine. If you can't, then you'll have to learn the songs all over and practice from there. It might sound easy, but for some it could take a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the true phans, September 18, 2007

This review is from: Sing Phantom Of The Opera (Accompaniment 2-CD Set) (Audio CD)
An excellent karaoke CD for true phans. It is modelled after the superior stage productions, instead of the inferior movie soundtrack. Very well done. If you're a true phan who is true to the real, stage production instead of the disasterous movie, then this is for you! Pitched identically to the original music (instead of the re-"engineered" movie score), and with all the bells and whistles that will forever keep the stage production alive and well, and on top, and keep the hideous movie version out in the rain. Bravo indeed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Sound, September 5, 2008
This review is from: Sing Phantom Of The Opera (Accompaniment 2-CD Set) (Audio CD)
The karaoke accompaniment sounds really good compared to other karaoke background music that sounds too electric, if that makes sense.

I have to learn "All I Ask of You" for my voice class, and this will help me perfect it.

I'm getting the one for Beauty and the Beast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, March 4, 2009

Remember this is not the movie version. Ending on Think of Me is different, but still nice. Orchestration is high quality. Good for voice recital.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's nice..., April 8, 2007
This review is from: Sing Phantom Of The Opera (Accompaniment 2-CD Set) (Audio CD)
I expected the songs of the musical; and I got them, however what I expected were the voices of Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler, and this ain't it. I wish. Anyhow, this will require learning the songs a little differently; the timing is different, and the lyrics are indeed slightly altered from how I remember; I'm miffed that there's no lyrics sheet or anything. I'm going to have to listen to one CD first to learn the timing and all the lyrics, and then switch CDs to sing them on my own.

But all in all I like it, and it's also very nice to listen to at night, even if I'm not trying to sing it, and the woman who does sing it (whoever she is) isn't bad to listen to, though the man who sings the Phantom's part... should be GB. Sob.

4.0 out of 5 stars Where are the words?, February 9, 2008
This review is from: Sing Phantom Of The Opera (Accompaniment 2-CD Set) (Audio CD)
The music is wonderful, the voice could use a bit more practice, for the most part they were good, but some errors could still be heard, and the Phantom's voice did not live up to his predecessors. The second CD was nice, but had no back up singers and no lyrics showed on the karaoke machine.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hope Springs Eternal, May 21, 2007

This review is from: Sing Phantom Of The Opera (Accompaniment 2-CD Set) (Audio CD)
Since this CD was released in 2006, I was hoping against hope that the music, lyrics and arrangements would be identical to the movie. But, alas, they are not. They are examples of various versions from Webber's play.
As a karaoke, this CD is average, at best.
