I didn't know what to expect out of this--we wanted to use "Father's Wings" for a Father's Day celebration. This has the tracks with vocals from the soundtrack, original artists, AND the tracks without the vocals. I'm so pleased! Hope I can find more!

After reading the review from February 13, 2000, I decided to buy this CD. I was looking for the song "The Prayer", and the reviewer said "This has the tracks with vocals from the soundtrack, original artists ..." Well there are only 5 songs on the CD, and they are NOT sung by the original artists. Some woman sings all the songs. This would probably be a great CD if all you wanted was the background music, but don't buy it if you want the actual songs, sung by the actual artists.

I stumbled on this CD looking for an instrumental CD, without vocals. I was a bit worried, since when the CD came it said it was for use in karaoke machines, but then I saw that the insert also said it works normally in regular CD players, so it works nicely if you're planning to perform a song. It has all the major songs (don't buy it if you're looking for "If I Didn't Have You") instrumentally and with vocals to practice with. However, I'm not sure how close the timing of the music is to the timing of the songs in the movie, so you may have to adjust your tempo accordingly. Just as an aside, the background vocalists, while not the artists from the movie, are good singers in their own right, so you're not singing along with ugly voices.
