Singing your pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By
This review is from: Sing Your Pleasure (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
This series just keeps getting better. I loved the interaction between Charlene and Akil, even if in the beginning he hide behind a false attitude toward her Charlene always held her own. I also loved that Akil was soooo into Charlene even with the fact that she was a thick girl, he always encouraged her to believe in herself and her size did not deter that to him he wanted her just the way she was no changes or very little (Mia was a trip and a half :)). Charlene had a lot of emotional insecurities about herself thanks to her mother and Akil had a lot of baggage also which stemmed from the guilt he had about his sister and mother. But together it worked it's self out for them, Oh you know there were some twists and turns from a devious source ie T.K. which in the end got his just reward.A.C Arthur continues where B.J left off and left you wondering who was going to be in the next book. Sophia is already going for blood from an arkward situation she is being put in that I feel this sister is going to fight for what she feels is her rightful place in the company, so whom ever is going to do her story I just don't know but I have a feeling from these first two books it's going to be good. I just can't wait. I encourage you to read this book and continue to bask in the Limelight of Love. Cudos once again. 5 stars

Singing My Pleasure with this Book,
This review is from: Sing Your Pleasure (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Loved it. Akil and Charlene's story was flawless. I loved that two people both with baggage could put aside the drama and find love. This story makes me want to believe in fairytales and love at first sight. Akil is a hard nose no-nonsense producer captivated by the innocence he sees in Charlene. Charlene is a natural born singer with self esteem issues; but not enough to be taken advantage of. When these two are in the room the chemistry sizzles. What I love about this story is Akil's love for Charlene. He was a "alpha male" in every sense of the word. He protected Charlene in a way that made me wish I was in her shoes. He was tough enough to get respect in the streets but sensitive enough to know love when it dropped in his lap. I was shocked when Charlene toughens up and protected her man when the time came to have his back. She loved him unconditionally. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I think I have fallin' in love with Akil. He's definitely the kind of man any woman can ask for. He may have seemed arrogant and cocky but behind closed doors he's a true man. He makes you feel good when your confidence level is down. I loved the fact that he loved Charlene dispite her challenges and flaws. He makes you wish that a lot of men could feel that way about their woman. She can be big and beautiful, she can be average with a belly, she can be skinny as a toothpick it doesn't matter, as long as he loves her. So kudos to Akil, he's one helluva man.

Okay, book #2 in the series is definitely a winner! This is the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely will not be the last. Started reading this yesterday on my way to work, and finished it last night. Great characters, hot love scenes and a good storyline. Loved it!

A Must Read!,
This review is from: Sing Your Pleasure (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have never read a book in one night! The minute I kept turning the pages I had to find out what was really going on with Akil, whom I loved very much, I had to stop and pray "God, grant me an Akil, not his money or fame, but him the man," so I continued reading and then the next thing I knew it was 2:45 a.m. and I was like turning the last page and there was no more story. Can I tell you how sad I was!?! Do yourself a favor and read this book. I related with everything there was about Charlene, except the dieting crazed mother, who we find out really loved her daughter - man! This story is told by a person, who I can tell, really wants to write stories that are a real as fantasy will allow; I am grateful for that. I just hope that Ms. Arthur doesn't stop writing! I am trying to add as many of her titles to our library system here in Oklahoma City, more real readers need to be exposed to this kind of storytelling, this kind of writing, and this kind of author. I haven't fallen in love with an author like this in a while; I'm so glad I took the book of the shelf the other day {{{BOOM}}}!

I like this book so much so that when i finished the book i flip back thru it,just to maintain the hold it had on me.(ya know?) i like the way that Ms.A had her heroine smart,as well as her hero. She made the fiction seem so real with all aspects even down to the illness that charlene had. i really like it! thanks and my standing ovation to you Ms.Arthur.

It was a wonderful read and compelling, but also a little hard to get through. It dealt with drugs. I lived in a neighborhood where drugs took a toll on promising lives so those bits were a little to realistic. However, do not believe this book is a downer. It is a tale of a Phoenix rising out of the ashes. This describes our hero Akil to a tee. It's just getting him to see himself as such. Charlene our heroine is growing in her acceptance of herself and her talents, this is in part of Akil's attraction to her. She begins to glow as she basks in his love and acceptance. The tittle of this book come from some action in this book. You have to believe me when I say this section is hot, hot, hot!

OMG!!! This is my first read by A.C.Arthur and it won't be my last. Actually what else has he written? Lol!! The novel flowed from the beginning until the very last page. Although this was fiction. I absolutely love books that reads as if it's real. The characters, the setting, the twist in the book allowed the reader to feel as if they were actully looking into the lives of someone that they knew!!!Good Job!!! |
