Big fan of Queen. And a fan of Singstar. I could nitpick songs in the various editions, but obviously they cast a wide net. Some bits don't work great, like the rapping and some harmony/lead choices, but whatever. Still good fun overall. The Singstar games work well, but...

Singstar: Queen doesn't. At least, not entirely. The problem is the way the sound was mixed/presented. The volume of the tracks are too low to hear over your own voice without hideous reverb from the speakers. I'm not much of a singer, and need to hear the vocals and song to sing along. Once we turn the volume up loud enough to hear the song, we are painfully blasted by our own voices, and not just from being off-key. Mind you, I have made every adjustment in and out of the game to no avail. Turning down the mic to it's lowest doesn't help. We own six other Singstar games, and this is never a problem. There is a very obvious difference from those games to this one.

I sent the first game to Sony after contacting them, and they sent me a new one. It is the same mess of a game. So I can only assume it is a common problem, and now I am out shipping costs to boot.

The game would have been great for any Queen fans who wanted to try to match their skills against Mr. Mercury, but this is ruined by this volume balance issue. It simply makes it no fun to play. A shame, really, because these are great songs. I hate to say it, but this game seems like it was made lazily without any concern for quality.

Must copy this from "Kevin Burchett's" review because I have exactly the same issue, which renders the disc unplayable. My husband and I love Queen and could not wait to get this product and now we can't play it.

I would give all the other Singstar games 4 or 5 starts and would expect this one to be at least a 4 but I can't do it.

Just like all the other Singstar games, nothing in this game changes, save for new songs and videos. If you're quite content with the current layout of the Singstar games, then you won't mind that factor. Sometimes, it's okay to leave things with the same structure and just change up the elements!

Same as the other Singstar games, you will access a menu of different album covers from which you can pick the tune you would like to sing. The video will then come on and the lyrics will be underneath. The colored bars will fill up as you sing along and the length of the bars will let you know how long to hold the notes for, or how high or low to go. Their scaling method isn't exactly precise but it does help you figure out generally which notes to go higher or lower on.

If you do not already have the microphones to plug into the Playstation 2, then you will need to acquire them since this is a stand-alone game that does not come with the microphones. The Singstar franchise is now sticking to releasing more stand-alone games, which is just fine if you already have the microphones. This way you don't have to worry about having to buy them each time and having all this extra equipment taking up space that you'll never use. Plus, the games are cheaper without the extras!

The songs in this collection are quite solid and encompass a good deal of Queen's greatest hits collection. It would have been nice to see "Radio Ga-Ga" or maybe even "Body Language" in there, but this is not a bad selection otherwise.

If you're a Queen fan, a Playstation 2 fan, and a Karaoke fan, or even just one of the above, consider trying out this game. Singstar games are a lot of fun and now that they are tailoring the games to be more band-oriented, you can more easily choose a game that you know you will enjoy, instead of a compilation where you like three of the songs and the rest are just terrible. Go ahead, give it a shot!

Who would not love a Queen SingStar Game!!!! It has all the classics and is totally worth rocking out to. If you are a fan of Queen, or just good music, than this game is a must :)

bought this product a while back for a PS2, we have a number of other singstar packages, this is by far the lowest quality of them all, fun to play with but sound quality is somewhat lacking

I agree with the previous reviewer that some of the songs the sound quality wasn't so great and they could of done a better job at putting this all together but even though I LOVED IT and for any Queen fan who's got a PS2/PS3 to get this to sing-a-long to your favorites. D: Wish I had a PS3 cuz I heard with a PS3 you can purchase additional songs and stuff from the SingStar store. I hope that they continue making more band oriented SingStar games.

I was VERY excited to get this, and the songs are great however, they recorded this in a VERY low volume and I had to blast my volume on my tv and it still was hard to hear it. I have numerous Singstar games and they are all awesome, but this one was just too hard to hear. I tried everything to get it to sound better and higher but it is just the way the game is. Having said that though, it has great classic Queen songs, but it's hard to hear their singing over yours.

I don't understand the other reviews. This singstar is just as good as the others.

We played most of the songs, and are pleased with this game.

I give it 5 stars. If you know and like singstar, then you won't be disappointed with this one!

JUST WANT THE FAMILY NEEDED. THIS SING STAR GAME IS GREAT, REALLY FUN TIMES. LOVE PLAYING THIS WITH THE FAMILY ., WE ALL HAVE A GREAT TIME AND BEFORE YOY NO IT ITS BEEN 3 HRS OF LAUGHS.
