I really enjoy this machine (works fine for my craft projects and limited sewing, I especially enjoy the fancy stitches and button hole capabilities), but I am writing to let people know that the bobbins that Amazon is trying to cross sell with it do not fit this machine. This machine uses the metal kind, not the plastic.

This is the same as an earlier model with the same stitches, only digitized selection. I bought this for my son who wanted one to make his cosplays with. Use is easy enough he figured it out without help from me, and he's a beginning sewist. A quick look over the manual and he was off and running.

Excellent sewing machine!
This machine is the best and most easy to use sewing machine I have ever owned. Loading the thread and the tension adjustment are super easy and the extra bonus for me was the automatic needle threading. I love all of the 80 different types of stitching, button-hole making and even the option to do double stitching. It comes with DVD instructions as well as great booklet instructions. I have found when I take the time to learn something new about a product then it works a lot better. I got a lot of value for the price!

This is the WORST machine I have ever encountered! It doesn't do a straight stitch and it doesn't do a buttonhole. It jams up constantly on anything you try. I never tried anything else before donating it to the Salvation Army. If someone asks you if you would like one of these machines or a box of dog s***, trust me, take the dog s*** because , at least you won't be tempted to ruin any perfectly good fabric with the dog s***. My 52 yr old machine which makes a beautiful buttonhole with an attachment sews rings around this piece of crap.

My wife needed a new maching seeingwe got rid of the first one because we moved back home and didnt wantto carry the extra weight.Bought this piece of crap ar sears...This thing worked the first time we tried it.Then put it away for a few months. Next sewing job came up took it out..And the piece of crap wont sew..the thread just knots up under the pressure foot ,timne and time again...Never again will I buy a singer and never again from sears. Like other s have said ..you get what you pay for..Sears sold junk and I bought it..

We have had multiple issues with this machine from the bobbin to the motor. It is almost useless. My mother in law came to town and tried to show us how to use this model as she has a very similar Singer Computerized machine. She could not get it to work properly and gave up on the project until she went back home.
