5.0 out of 5 stars Money Saver!, May 30, 2003
This review is from: Singer CSP1 Magic Steam Press (Kitchen)
I have had my press for a long time with zero problems! Forget the dry cleaners for men's slacks. I have saved hundreds of dollars by pressing my husband's washable slacks myself instead of paying $ each at the dry cleaners! Very easy to use. Each pair takes me about 2 minutes! Of course it has many other pressing uses but I love skipping the dry cleaners!

5.0 out of 5 stars time saver, December 6, 2002

I have one of these irons and love it. I use it all the time for my sewing business. It saves me time, when I am pressing material. My kids love it for pressing t-shirts and jeans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, January 24, 2004

The press works as advertised, presses slacks and shirts in half the time. Irons best when the clothing being pressed is damp. You still need to keep your iron handy for that early morning before work touch-up as the the unit takes quite a while to heat up.The unit is better suited for volume pressing or volume touch-ups(We iron once a week). I cannot remember the last time I used the old iron!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice product, but best for the "power ironer", October 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Singer CSP1 Magic Steam Press (Kitchen)
Nice product that works well. However, it takes quite awhile to heat up and is not suited for the usual "touch-up" ironing. In other words, it's not a really practical item unless you are in position to do a lot of ironing (say, a week's worth) at one time. But if you're organized enough to pull everything together, it will save a ton of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great IF you take the time to learn, September 15, 2004
This review is from: Singer CSP1 Magic Steam Press (Kitchen)
This is a great item. It works exactly as advertised, if the proper methods are used. There is a knack to doing this. Shirts are done in segments. It took me about 6 weeks to get good at this, but I can do an entire man's shirt in about 3 minutes, now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Singer CSP-1 Steam Press, April 6, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Singer CSP1 Magic Steam Press (Kitchen)
I am a weaver and sewer and have put off for years buying a steam press. I am glad I did, because this one does what the others did not -- it rotates 90 degrees so that you can steam press lengths of yardage, table clothes, etc. It makes a lot of steam, or none, with graduations in-between. It is easy and safe to operate.

I recently purchased a Singer Steam Press CSP1, I really like the steam press and the ease of using it. I am having a problem finding replacement ironing board covers. If anyone would know where I could purchase one, please email me at Lander6633@charter.net. Otherwise, this machine is fantastic!
Gives a professional appearance. I would recommend purchasing it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Huge Time Saver, February 6, 2007

Working Mom "So little time!" (Stamford, CT United States) - See all my reviews

I bought mine in Feb. 2003 for $220. It recently stopped working in the middle of a lot of ironing. I took it to a repair shop and was told that the problem is the circuit board. I searched the internet for something similar. In the end I decided to pay the $120 to have it repaired as there is nothing like it currently available. I love the burst of steam, the swivel of the stand and the size (large work surface). Mine always heated quickly. I also understand that they are in high demand because of the unique features. If you have one, take good care of it and consider having it repaired, if necessary. Also, beware of some that you might find advertised on the internet. They are probably 220 volt (Europe and UK). I hope they are once again made for the US market. I'd love to buy one for my daughter.
