Most Comprehensive Anthology I've Seen,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology: Soprano Vol. I (Paperback)
This book is very well organized, complete with a table of contents organized by musical, and summaries of each show for reference. The songs are presented in their original scores (no funky keys:). Althought this should be a part of every experienced singer;s library, those singers who have not had a couple years of either private training or music theory should skip it. Among certain circles, this is considered "The Bible" for young singers

Almost perfect,

This review is from: The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology: Soprano Vol. I (Paperback)
This book presents a great collection of songs for the soprano singer, ranging in the well-known to the semi-obscure, which is helpful for audition pieces. The only flaw is the lack of up-tempo numbers, as many of the songs are ballads and otherwise slow, which is a drawback for those trying to build up their range of styles.

This book has a very good assortment of tunes that are well known as well as some lesser known. Very singable for both sopranos and altos. Good accompaniments also.
I highly recommend this book for all singers.

This is a fantastic product. Many of the great legit musical theatre songs all in one book. I already had Volume 4, so I knew I was going to get another wonderful product when purchasing this one. :)

I have used this book for years. The selection is wonderful. Most of the singers I know have a copy of this, and I tell all my soprano students to own their own. It is definitely a must have for any soprano who wants to work in the theater.Voice Lessons To Go's -Vocalize!

Inappropriate Review,

This review is from: The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology: Soprano Vol. I (Paperback)
I only say that the review titled, "Some Fantastic Unknown Songs!" is inappropriate, because those are NOT the songs in this volume. I bought this volume thinking I would get the songs like "Moonfall" and "Unusual Way," but I didn't. This book is great don't get me wrong; I'll still get a lot out of it. Just don't read reviews thinking they are totally accurate.
