I first heard this as a small child - back when they had vinyl records - remember them?? My mom used to play this for us and a few years back - recorded a cassette of it for a surprise. Well, for Christmas this year, I found the cd of the same and got it for them so they could take it with them anywhere. Now, I just have to get it back to listen to it again.....

AGAIN LIKE THE PREVIOUS REVIEW THIS IS AN EXCELENT ALBUM THAT IV'E WANTED FOR AGES ON DISC MY GRAND CHILDREN LOVE IT BECAUSE ITS A GREAT FAMILY ALBUM TO SING ALONG TO AND THEY DO A LOT OF IT.

This is a good feeling cd with some nice songs. One in particular apart from the title track is The Giving Tree a good symbolic song pertaining to (how I see it) If someone gives to you all the time.
This is a must have cd

I have been looking for this to come out on CD for years. I bought the LP 20 years ago (found in a Nashville record store while on vacation!) and was days away from mailing it to a company that transfers LP's to CD's. I did a search AGAIN :) and could not believe that it was finally available on CD! I am anxiously awaiting my copy to come in the mail! I also listened to this 8 track as a kid!!! I can't wait for my two little boys to hear it, we listen to music all the time and I know they will enjoy this!

This is an old album (two in fact) released for the first time on CD. The transfers are superb and shows Bobby Bare and his family singing and enjoying themselves quite literally In The Kitchen. Bobby's voice (from 1974)is mellow, often funny and always moving. Listen and laugh at the Unicorn song, imagine your own kitchen with Where'd I Come From and be utterly moved by the Giving Tree. This album is all Shel Siverstein songs (bar two) and is an example of a supreme wordsmith.
The Gospel album is from 1967 and contains old favourites performed sympatheticaly and with enough reverence to make the album a very easy listen. No fancy arrangements, just good music and good singing.

Buy this album with complete confidence.

This is an essential library addition for all Bare fans and for all "real Country" fans.

The folks from Omni Records need to be thanked for the GREAT remastering job on this CD and others (which I own). This is what CD should be about.

This is a great song to listen to, and sing, with your kids. I remember listening to this with my parents, mainly my Dad, and it makes my heart feel like I am 8 all over again. I now have my 5 year old listen to it and hope it makes him feel the same way when he is 37. :)
